The UFP SIMM and Harriers Squadron have merged following SFC discussion to bring forward our roleplaying assets to full attention once more. Tasked with leading this new division, Caymen Greener has been appointed as its new CO.
The Starfleet Harriers division acts as our primary roleplaying division for UFP Simmers and RPG-X players alike. Run by a dedicated command team, most of Starfleet Harrier’s activity can be seen on the forums through their ever popular SIMM. Occasionally this roleplay is taken to RPG-X where the idea can fully come to life.
The forming of a new division is no easy feat. The criteria for becoming a division and receiving SFC's vote approval is extensive to say the least; and for the right reasons too! Although new now to many, Starfleet Harriers has been part of the fleet for about four years now!
Upon its formation in 2008 the Starfleet Harriers division was not only tasked with our fleet's support for RPG-X but for written roleplay as well. This precedence made the decision to merge the two a rather easy one for SFC. It also made the Harriers Squadron large enough and active enough to earn back its division status.
Leading this new division at the helm is a man at the forefront of roleplay and SIMM development: Captain Caymen Greener. I therefore ask you to please join me in congratulating Cayman Greener on his new appointment and promotion!

Thanks to everyone, especially SFC and the existing Harriers and Simm groups, for allowing me to fill this position and take the Harriers to the next level. This will allow us to truly promote the simms as well as continue some RPG-X efforts, and in effect combine our "roleplay" gaming efforts into one larger pool.
Thanks for all your congrats. It's been a long time wish of mine to have the Simms more formalized and I am happy to see that happen. And hey, the promotion is a nice kicker.
