The Starfleet Diplomatic Corps. (SDC) is fully charged and ready to kick off the new year with a good start under the leadership of Commander Collier; previously the XO of SDC. For his new appointment Collier is also receiving a promotion to Captain!
The Starfleet Diplomatic Corps serves as our external affairs liaison. Its primary duty is to establish and maintain good relations with other fleets and members of the wider community. The Diplomatic Corps is useful in creating inter-fleet events with other friendly fleets, which benefit both parties. These can range from mixed PvP sessions to completing episode missions.
Lead by Commodore Jordan for two years, the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps. continues to shine brightly with their recent strong concentration on joint-fleet events. Tasked with maintaining a friendly attitude in stressful situations, the Diplomatic Corps. CO acts as our chief ambassador and representative to the Star Trek gaming community’s various groups and fleets.
Upon joining Starfleet Command, Commodore Jordan transferred from this division to work exclusively in the development field. More so over, Collier was also in the process of transferring to work in the Defense Department as my aide. Although still looking after SDC as acting CO, the future of SDC’s direction was up for debate.
In the end, Collier’s strong vision and enthusiasm for SDC was more than enough to convince both myself and the rest of Starfleet Command that his passion for diplomatic work should be encouraged through action. And so, Collier has now been officially appointed as the new Starfleet Diplomatic Corps. CO. and for it receives a promotion to the rank of captain.
I’d like to thank Collier for his brief work as my aide, and for looking after SDC during this transition. I am confident that with enough determination and work Collier can truly make a strong and positive impact through our fleet’s foreign policy and through Starfleet Headquarters itself.
I’d therefore like to ask everyone to join me in congratulating Captain Collier on his new appointment!
