Greetings UFP
My Name is Appok1, Last year i quit wow, this is my first mmo since, i played wow for six years and boy am i glad thats over with. Anyways down to Brass Tax- As far as Dailies Go which ones should i be focussing on, and ones i should avoid as a ltcmdr(13), as far as i can understand you can do dailiys for dilithium or you can buy dilithium, id rather earn it than just spend some cash to get what i want, Other than that are their other ways of obtaining dilithium?- sorry if my question is a little dis-organized- its 9am and my daughters are screaming and running around the house already and iam out of coffee.
any responses to this inquiry with be most welcomed. Thank you that is all

Right now, there is on FE
Dafera sector missions, STF rewards some, Lore mission in academy, also academy event, and you can also turn marks you earn in reputatation system for dillithium, but it would be better to do when you have too much marks. Then there is exploration mission, and officer reports. And of course duty officers - return contraband yeilds 2k without critical
KDF has all that, plus there are fighting FED, romulans, and borgs where you get dillithium too.
Thats PVE stuff, I dont really play pvp so dont know what is there. Also might have forgoten something, others will expand.
Edit: Do what you like really. I usually just do duty officers, and STF sometimes Dafera. But I dont max it out all the time.
I personally dislike Officer reports, because they take too long.

Mirror Universe Incursion ( not a daily but when it is up) 6-7 mins a run, 480 dil per run and no CD. Plus once the stahi is done your free to leave the system and go again. Great way to grind Dil if you are on during the event.
Fleet actions award 480 Dil and some nice consoles if you place 1-2 with a 1/2 hour CD
If you have lots of Data sample those can be turned in via doffing on your bridge for 250 a mission more on critz.

you have the daily patrol cluster mission like : "explore strange new world", combine with "Delta Volanis" that gives 1440 dil for 3 mission. (delta volanis is just outside or sol system)
later at lvl 50 (max lvl) you'll have 3 daily in the Eta Eridani Sector : Traelus Satelite repair, Defense Contract and Help Sh'mar for 480 dil each.
In Beta Ursae sector u have the asteroid mining daily that gives you 500-600 dil and a little more if you do it at same time that the event. (you need an environment suit for this one)
There are 3 space fleet actions that reward 480 dili + items : Starbase 24, Gorn Minefleid and Klingon Scout Force from 5 to 20 players. You just need to queue in the event using the pve queue system, and you receive a pop up window to engage when the queue is full. 30 mn cd on each like it has been said earlier. the items you receive can be use or sell at exchange. there is also ground fleet actions, for same amount of dili but I've never done them.
the best way is to be able to join the academy event. If you can get 120-150 or more particle to exchange, you'll receive 4600 dil and more. you can check the event time on your journal window ingame for the right time.
don't forget that you can refine only 8000k dili each day. so you can farm, grind or collect it during your presence ingame. You can also farm it much more by repeating action and stock it to be able to refine it later.

Like in WoW, dailies aren't really worthwhile until you hit cap rank (Vice Admiral). Thus as a LT CDR, you have a bit of a ways to go.
However, the following thread by Collier is an excellent start on information regarding worthwhile dailies for your 8K dilithium.

The Academy 101 and 102 dailies are always worth doing, since literally takes less than 5 minutes. The answers to the lore quiz are on the STO Wiki, too. I'm a little disturbed that half the time I don't need to "cheat" and check the wiki.
