    chrome has its own sandboxed version of the flash plugin that it keeps up to date with almost hourly checks.

    Its more likely to be a driver glitch (most likely the graphics card) - or one of those other mystical things that blow up after 6 months of having a windows install and end up making you irk for clean install.

    For kicks and giggles, have you tried any other browser software? Internet Explorer, Opera, etc. Just to see if the issue isn't resident to your operating system?

    try uninstalling chrome and re-installing it. see if that does anything.
