I mean, like so I can host the event at my time, for Australians, it's very difficult to tell when I can be on for events hosted in either the UK or US, or even other parts of the world, so I want to have Australians to be able to Host events and have them come to my events, 1 because I am Australian and Seeker said I should ask around for Australians, and why would this have the be in Starfleet Operations, it doesn't make sense.

So if you don't see why I should ask around for any Australians, then these are the reasons. Otherwise Seeker will have to remove me from the Away Team Leader Position, because I need to be able to host 2 events a week, and at the moment I've only hosted 1 event a week, so I hope you can understand from this point onwards.

He obviously means that there are hardly any events which cater to his timezone, with his physical location being on the other side of the world. Indeed, I believe there are hardly any members on our side, let alone Event Officers.

Well, it'd be good to have atleast 1 Australian Event officer for all the Australian Players to be able to go to events, so they don't have to stay up till like 4 in the morning to go to events and do stuff with the fleets at really late hours of the night.

Does Australia fall in the "relative" same timezone as Singapore/China/Korea/Japan (plus or minus an hour here or there)?

So an Asia Pacific time centric may cater to more members?

If memory serves from the various applications I have seen... we have a handful from Australia, a pair from Singapore, one from Japan, and our very own Mr. McClintock currently the resident Scot in China.

I know that I have a friend who went to Taiwan to teach English, so I had to flip the AM/PM and add two hours to get their time. 9AM for me is roughly 11PM tomorrow for them. And still they can't provide me winning lottery numbers.

I always got the impression that the {UFP} Teamspeak/Sto Community never sleeps. If I were you I would put events in times which suit you, check TS. and bully these Europeans/Americans who should be in bed, into your events.

May do, but I got to get my events around these times that best suit the time for me when most people would attend, I got heaps of time and most people that go on TS normally are American and Europeans.. I swear I've not seen 1 Aussie on TS but me and I really want it so I can host at my times instead of waiting till 4 AM to host an event or something.

Oh and Sylinn, I have the same time as Singapore, since I am on the west side of Australia. But China, Korea and Japan, I am not sure. But they'll have close timezones to me, so I would be able to host times around for a suitable time for everyone near my area.

I also would love if anyone can recommend anyone near my area, because I am gonna be hosting an Event sooner tonight and I need to get it approved now or later.

China and Western Australia, including Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia have the same +8 GMT Timezone. Japan is a little further east so +9 for them.

In any case, I think it's safe to say us Austrasians are very much in the minority, comparing our numbers against US and European members.

But that is where you are wrong, McClintock... Everyone matters. No matter where you are from... We are a gaming community. I would love to see it when there would be say 2 American ATLs, 2 European ATLs, 2 Oceania/Asia ATLs to have it so we are all not Globally out of gaming times. As for Oceania, if we had no ATL then we can't attend Events on OUR time and that we would always be tired, or worse from going to events late at night. Say the 20:00 UFP Time events are 4 the morning for me, I don't want to either get up that early or stay up that late to just attend a single Event or stay up till 2 in the morning on Weekdays. Or on Weekends when I got things to do.

Look at the Positives of the idea, we can all Rely on our time zones or you would have to set your clocks back to the time of the Americans and Europeans from our Perspective.

Like i mentioned on TS yesterday, consider the amount of Europeans/Americans that we have within the UFP, then look back at your idea to have only 2 event officers for each, you'd severely limit the amount of events for our most active player base.
