Hi all

it's been a while I posted in here due to things has happend in my life. one of them is I started writing on a book. I did decide today that I am going to put up a section of it here so you can read it and see how you like it.

to warn you english isn't my native language so my gramma will be off quait abit. and this is the first time I ever tried writing a story mostly am I working on my 3D models as some you may know.

any how I hope you like it and please leave a comment on what you think so I know if I should continue or change it.

I wonder why I have been summoned to the council’s admiral board. I haven’t had contact with the space fleet for five years now since my father’s ship went missing. What can they want with me now?
Relax Sarah they just want to talk with you about a thing nothing more. Maybe it’s about an old mission you went on that’s relevant for something else.

You are right sir that this isn’t the way to the council building. But then are we not going there. The admiral board you are meeting have requested that I take you to a other location for your meeting.
Okay I wonder why this secrecy since all I did in the service was no secret classification on. Can you tell me where we are heading anyway?

Leaning back into the rear seat a thousand questions did flow through my head. Why would I be taken to a secret location for a meeting of unknown reason there must be more to this. Still the last few years I haven’t done anything to the military. I had mostly been working on my own project so why would the military’s highest officers call me to a meeting.
So did you get an answer to your question about where we are going?
The question did make me come out of my thoughts. No sadly I didn’t all I did find out that we are taking a shuttle from the shuttle port to a secret location.

Yes you are right normally but I got a call this morning. Something did come up at work and they did want me to come in later today. So after your meeting I am going to work to see what the problem is.
Miss we are arriving at the shuttle port soon.
An officer did meet us up on the shuttle port and escorted us to a shuttle. Well on the shuttle I did try and figure out why all secrecy. Maybe it had something to do with my father mission he went missing on. The whole ship and crew disappeared from the scanners five years earlier. Maybe they got some new info about it
When arriving on the location we were shown into an elevator that did go up into a big hall where the admiral board was seated around a big curved table on one side like this was a hearing and a small table was placed in front of it with a chair at it where I where suppose to sit.

When you were almost finished I did contact the admiral about this and they contacted your school in secret since this is a delicate matter. They did see what I had seen in you during these years that you had a great mind and are the best hope we have to find the Echelon and her crew.
Okay this is a lot to take in now. So please let me straighten this out. You want me to continue the work I did start in college and make a theory work in reality on a patrol ship. to be able to find clues about the disappearance of my father’s ship.
Yes and no. we have one small change to your project and that is that the new engine system in your project will have to be powerful enough to work on a battle cruiser.
A battle cruiser! I hope you are kidding that will be a lot of energy and how that will work I can’t say.

Yes there is. Your new system will be built in a new type of ship that is in size between a frigate and a destroyer. This is because we want it fast and maneuverable. Since we don’t know what we might find in the area the echelon went missing.
Do you really know what you are asking sir? You want me to work on a theory on a new engine system that contains a hell a lot of power as the design is now. Make it more powerful so it can power your biggest ships and fit it in a smaller ship then a destroyer. It will be like… well I don’t know the energy the ship will have will go off the charts on anything I have seen or anyone has seen.
Yes we know this Miss Archer and that’s the idea. This project will be classified on the top level in our system just because of this. We will hand pick all that will work on this project so you have the best team working under you.

Relax Sarah sit down and breathe a bit and focus. If I hadn’t seen your work this last year on this project I wouldn’t have informed the admirals sitting here today. I know you have what it take to get this to work. I see in you what I did see in your father years ago when he was working. Dedication the work he was doing knowing he was trying to make the world a better place for you. If he was here today I know he would be proud of your work. To see her daughter grown up excelling beyond him in the same area that he did.
I know uncle John I miss him so much and I wish he was there on graduation.

I was left alone to try and get a grip on the situation. In one day a lot had changed. Why I did pick the same area as my father was because I wanted to find him. But I knew pretty early that most of my work I could not do since I didn’t have the resources to make it work. This I hadn’t told anyone. But the truth is that I did miss my father a lot and have had many sleepless nights these last five years thinking on him wondering what had happened to him. And now I was given a chance to make this come true. Of course I needed to take this offer they had played it so well into my arms I was going to swallow bait hook and line. But I wanted one thing for this. I could hear that the discussion between John and the admirals was getting higher and I could hear a few words but not make out in whole what they were talking about. John and my father had been friends since they where children and John was over at us so much I did start calling him uncle. John voice did cut through my thought.

You are correct Colonel. We know that this isn’t your field of expertise but your part is to support Miss Archer so she has someone to talk to easily. But your main part of this is to go through all files of our command staff to start building up the crew for the ship. Remember to pick them well and people you can trust. Since when the ship is complete will you get the command of her.

I want be part of the crew of the ship if I can get it to work.
And why should we add you to the crew for this ship. You have no military background to all they only know you because you are the daughter of a great captain in the fleet. So I ask you again why should you be a part of the crew we would need you here to start working on new assignments to improve the ships for the fleet.
Well there are a few reasons. One you need me since I know my system best and it would take your engineers longer time to make it work. Also if something would happen on the ship it could paralyze it completely stranding the ship out there. Finally I want to be part of the team to find my father.
I think you have convinced us Miss Archer. You will be part of the crew on the ship when it leaves as the expert on the ship. But you will have to go through some basic military training.
Of course will I do that sir.
So I can take it that you will agree to start working on this project.

Well the research and development center for this project is not here it is on the moon to keep the security to the max on this project.
