Oh damn, I was going to get this for my Xbox... but now I'm not sure!
I think there are four things to consider when it comes to which format to go for.
1) Since it is a primarily co-op game I would probably go for what ever format you know the most people to play with on. That said I know quite a few UFP members have consoles so even if you don't have many on your friend list that would make a good co-op partner you could probably find a few here.
2) With the console version you can trade-in older games to get it and it will have some re-sale value, neither of which apply to the PC digital download although the initial price of the PC digital download is considerably cheaper than that of a console version.
3) Given the fact that it is a 3rd person shooter a game controller is likely to be better than using a keyboard and mouse, this can obviously be off set by using a compatible game controller for your PC. If you have an Xbox 360 the wired Xbox 360 pads should work as your PC should detect it as identical but differently packaged Xbox 360 controller for Windows (you might want to test this first though as for some reason some models and some regional versions don't have the same cross-compatibility).
4) Does your PC meet the required specs?

RAM: 2 GB
Hard disk space: 8 GB
GFX RAM: 512 MB
GFX Card: Nvidia Geforce 9600/ ATI Radeon HD 2900

Others: Supports Microsoft Xbox 360® Controller for Windows® ; Supports NVidia 3D Vision
If not or if just barely you might want to go for the console version for a smoother experience.

Oh my PC can handle it fine. I'm running Bioshock Infinite on high settings with good FPS. I think I'll probably just get the Xbox version since me and Dodgers were talking about doing the coop together. Still a tempting offer though with such a good discount.

Ahaha, somehow I don't think that's going to happen. I tend to play most games like this on console, mainly because the PC ports are a hash job done without much thought. Remember the Force Unleashed PC port? Didn't even have options to change graphics settings other than screen res!
