Hello UFP'ers!

It's been a busy and distracting week for me, hence the one issue this week. Have been recieving feedback via PM and ingame regarding these posts and I appreciate your kind words.

It's back! After being taken away from STO for months, Cryptic have been rebalancing, tweaking and fiddling with the Crystalline Entity and today they are releasing onto Holodeck for all to go play with. As a player who has never had the opportunity to try this event out, I am very much looking forward to it.

Priority One interviewed Dan Stahl this week with questions from the community and more tid bits of information about the upcoming content in Legacy of Romulus. As always it's worth a listen if you get the chance, and you can discuss the interview on the STO forums in the current trending thread.

Do you feel suffocated by the closed environment of the Embassy shuttlebay? Do you sometimes feel that the walls are closing in on you and you cower and hide in a corner wishing the room was just a little bigger? Good news! The new Featured Project opens up the roof of the shuttlebay to provide you some nice exposure to the outside world, as well as expand the size of the bay.

There was a discussion on the Tribble forum today regarding one of the upcoming traits in the Science proffession, Medical Vanguard. Players are finding it too overpowered and have asked it to be nerfed a little.. amazing.. honest opinions regarding skills on a test server! Anyway developer adjudicatorhawk agrees and confirms that this trait is going to be re-worked to make it less uber like. I'd imagine that a few more of the new traits will undergo some changes also, this only proves that your feedback and testing IS important on tribble and makes a difference.

Is your KDF toon currently experiencing high yield flatulence under your cloak? Ever wonder why your brethren tend to wander off when you enter the room? Well you can put your Pepto-Bismol bottle away because Cryptic artist tacofangs has the solution! Some maps have high wind settings set when they shouldn't have, and he's looking at reducing some of these settings in most maps to make it look less awkward for your KDF character. Good news indeed!

A new patch hit Tribble yesterday, the main change being to all Emergency to X Bridge Officer skills being reworked and balanced. Now, you don't go messing with these skills and don't expect a reaction from STO players. You can log onto tribble right now and test these changes and voice your opinion on that well watched thread.

A veteran STO Forum poster and Site manager for STOAcademy has blogged a .. umm.. blog about Skill Planning! If you ever had issues getting your head around the Skill system or are unsure about certain aspects of the system this blog should be a help to you. He talks about how to use his Skill Planner from the popular STO Academy website to aid you in your planning. This blog has links to websites outside of the STO Forum.


The UFP Forums are seeing an increase in activity lately which is really nice to see, alot of people check the forums out in their free time at work or en route to their places of work so it's a good place to keep in touch with your fleet mates and share information. Please log in and have a look around when you get chance and get involved in some of the discussions going on, you're missing out if you don't!

Skill Planning acticle was very good.I personally just wonder if it's any good start doing because of the current state of the pvp.It basically does not matter how you skill yourself because some of the ships are just too powerful.
