no doubt, but in any case its expensive, pointless and as bout much use as a place mat, its just a keybordless macbook. AND i like it !!!!!

Might be a good price for a mac, but its not a good price for what is it (and lacks) as a keyboard-less netbook. The thing doesnt even have a camera or flash support.

No flash support, No USB port (proprietary 30pin dock), 90 degree heat limit (and it came from California?), backlit LCD will make outdoor reading a pain. NO MULTITASKING.

Given the thing wont likely accept any files not linked via iTunes or iTunes Store, people with a fair amount of pre-existing multi-format media are just as hosed as when they got an iPhone.

Love the idea and the design, blown up iPod works for me. Lack of flash support and inability to run more than one app is an absolute deal breaker though. Even if they only allowed two apps to run, a large amount of my reservations about this would crumble.

I'd say it was a 'rush-to-market oversight' but it wasn't rushed at all.

oh and another $100 to go from 16-32 gigs?! Another hundred to go to 64?! 64gig flash drives that fit in your pocket go for $150 or less total!

Nice thought, but not impressed enough to pick it up.

Either Apple know something we don't or they have made a mistake here. They have a product that doesn't seem to solve any problems that anyone has.

Its very nice to look at and has some cool features, the similarity to a PADD is also pretty cool but I really can't understand why it is missing so many basic features for a current day premium priced media device.

100% right. The fact that they want this thing to replace netbooks, and to "change the way we use mobile computing devices" without letting this thing multi-task, with no flash support, and no file management, makes this thing a joke. It's nothing but an over-sized iPod touch.

If you want one, wait for a generation or two, and see what happens.

Also I think there's a market for OLD PEOPLE in this. My granparents can't read what's on a tiny iphone. If they were more tech inclined they'd get this. Sadly old people aren't often tech inclined so maybe not...

Actually, Microsoft is starting to create their own kind of pad. I don't know specifics, but I know it's in the works.

Personally, I think Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are conspiring. Gates works for government and gaming while Jobs handles media and entertainment.
