right i was able to play the beta on my laptop so therefore the game should in theory work as well right?

and also is the game worth buying as i never rele got a chance to play much of the beta so wandering what you guys think

The game should work fine as it hasnt changed a great deal since the last days of beta. you may run into problems once an expansion pack comes out and it changes the requirements (Which happend to my when "Jump to Light Speed" came out for SWG. I currently run this game on my pc and my laptop. my PC is a beast and runs the game great, on my laptop however..runs very fast but graphicall looks like a super nintendo game..lol.

When it comes to is the game worth buying, I have to say no. The bugs don't bother me, neither does the downtime, what however does is the lack of content. If i'm honest, after you reach commander, there is no fleet actions for your level, the story missions get fewer and fewer and once you hit admiral, your finished, there no end game content.

They've stated, they are releasing end game content in a couple of week but I've looked at it and im not convinced it will last longer than a day. If STO survives a couple of years, I think this will be an excellent MMO but will it, I don't know.

Also Cryptic have to remember that Star Wars: Old Republic is released next year, if they haven't got the game going by then, then sorry but it's a failed game.

Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the game so far but I'm already growing bored with it and it's only a week after release. This might change when more users get to Captain and we can make some PVP teams because PVP is fun.

Anyways, choice is yours.
