    Not something you could wear everyday, but definite shelf display. I'm really glad my office is tiny, I could spend my entire paycheck at thinkgeek!

    Amen. Although, for Christmas/Birthday, I usually just send my wife my wish list from Thinkgeek and say "I don't need anything major, but people can buy me whatever they want off this list." Same for the Lego wish lists lol

    If you are looking for an Academy ring but probably wouldn't actually wear it then might I suggest waiting for the new version?

    The ring above is from the 2009 Star Trek movie, an Into Darkness one is scheduled for release within about a month's time. The newer one is based on the one used by 'John Harrison' and features a flat face as opposed to the rounded one seen on the 2009 ring which I think looks a bit nicer, it also comes in a really nice display box that lights up. It is going to cost about $10 more but for a nice collectable the extra money might be worth it.
