I thought i'd add a little creative thread for those who've been wanting to write out an official story for their nation on Utopia! This is definitely an activity I recommend people try, as it not only makes you think about how your nation might be structured; but it in turn allows you to brainstorm ideas about what sort of government buildings you might want to build next. The template provided is the basic foundation you'll need to get started with adding your story to the mix!

Historical Background
The origins of Rawrtony can be traced as far back as 2010, during the start of Utopia, right down to Mikester the 1st. Motivated by trade, Mikester developed trade routes to Three Cactus which quickly made him one of the wealthiest men in Utopia.

Many months later, this wealth would become organized into the first ever corporate entity - Rawrtony Enterprises. Based in Ravenholm, this corporation grew so large and expansive that it had its own private military and territories. After the collapse of Ravenholm, all these assets formed together into a country of its own - Rawrtony.

Due to Mikester the 1st's early rise to wealth and expansive palaces (for the time), history had already classed 'the Rawrtonian Family' as noble by lineage. It was therefore natural that the Kingdom of Rawrtony was founded as a monarchy.

For about a year, Rawrtony grew to include more cities, territories, and leaders - such Prime Minister Jordan. Together with the common wealth, this exponential growth made Rawrtony a leading superpower on the international stage.

After the great war with Thoricus in late 2012, the Rawrtonian King saw a greater need for more security and centralized power. It was with this thought that Rawrtony was reorganized into the Empire it is today.

Rawrtony's reorganization brought forth a modern era of exorbitant military spending and imperialist styles. Gone were the days of romantic architecture and royal spending; replaced by the minimalist imperial style's gargantuan government buildings and capital ships.

These ships not only serve to protect all Imperials alike but together with Rawrtony's imposing government serve to keep order through sheer power.

Under the ruthlessness of the Empire, Rawrtony's imperial domain has expanded to encompass multiple nations including Alderaan, Byss, Naboo, The Imperial Sanctum, and a variety of international territories under military control. Together with the commonwealth and Central Rawrtony, these domains form the current Empire.

Historical Background
The first seeds of Librans formation began in 2010, when the current President began to setup the first colony near to the current location of Atlantis. Which began as a very basic fort, which has now become the basis of Fort Moorey.

After further development of Utopia politics as well as the high focus placed on relations with other nations by Adam Moorey, the colony migrated to a location that was located within Far Far Away's borders. Adam Moorey formed the second colony on Far Far Away's soil, due to the increased friendship between him and Far Far Away's leader, Jordan, as well as the vast amount of land under his control.

After a small dispute about land control, Adam Moorey made the decision to move the entire colony over to the other side of Utopia, at this stage the area was one of the most remote locations within Utopia. Once the colony roots were established, the nation of Libran formed under the leadership of Adam Moorey.

Over the past 2 years, Libran has developed into a fully developed nation, with it's own population, infrastructure as well as the Libran Starfleet - the purpose of which is for defense and exploration. Now that Libran has become one of the most developed nations within Utopia, it plays a key role within some of the political events within Utopia, specifically between the United Coalition of Nations and Imperial Rawrtony - which have been at dispute since the introduction of Rylons.

With the ever increasing Starfleet and the full development of Libran, as well as the success from the original settlement - the Libranian population have decided that, until such time that Adam Moorey becomes unfit to lead Libran, he will serve as the permanent President. However, due to the government type upon which Libran is based, he can be fairly voted out of office if another candidate is successful in a campaign for the Presidency, which so far there has been none.

Now, Starfleet continues to expand and have began the long journey, and daunting task of exploring our galaxy. With a variety of different classes of vessels being constructed, for a variety of different purposes - the Libran Defense Forces have been disbanded, in favour for more Starfleet development. This has led to the introduction of the Federation Defence Corps, designed for the sole purpose of defense for Federation's colonies, with both naval vessels and ground troops.

Libran officially formed the Libran Federation, after it expanded its reach to a second colony: Aerilon, and introduced the Federation Council - which is a political body that supports the President in the running of the Federation, specifically with political matters. To this day the Federation is expanding its reach, more recently attempting to colonise another world.

The Libran Federation recently left the United Coalition of Nations, in favour for an alliance with its 3 closest allies: the Confederacy of Sovereign Utopian States, was founded by the Libran Federation, Elysium Empire, Satsumarian Reich and Cellaris. This new alliance, brings an era of continued peace and developed relations between the four nations, securing confederate citizens from ever having to worry about rogue nations, and other threats Utopia may be faced with.

For the first time in the Federation's long history, Libran has developed naval vessels, and uses ground forces - designed and built by the Satsumarian Reich - to increase security of all the Federation colonies, spread throughout Utopia. The Federation continues to grow, and is increasing all of its efforts to start a colony: off world. The closest habitable system, Alpha Centauri, is the system where the Federation will found its first off world colony. This continues an era of peace, and prosperity.

Historical Background
During the reign of Malcolm IV - the last of the High Kings to be christened Malcolm - the old realm known as Scotland was invaded and utterly destroyed by the hated English king known only as Longshanks. Despite the best efforts of our warrior ancestors our Sovereign Lord and High King Malcolm IV perished at the Battle of Peebles, the combined bloodlust of the 'United Kingdom" proving too much for the main Scottish army.

However, this allowed Malcolm's bloodline - henceforth known as Duncan I - and the remainder of the Scottish army, navy and scattered peoples. Having no alternative, our ancestors fled the island on the beaten remnants of the Scottish navy and, for decades wandered the high seas before reaching the eastern edge of a new world - the world known as Utopia.

With what little remained of our people, Duncan III led us across the harsh and barren winterscape - now known as New Aviemore across the christened River Ugie - to an ancient stronghold of untold age, riddled with catacombs and caves too deep to even fathom. His son Duncan IV completed the restoration of the stronghold and named it, Stirling Castle - the de facto seat of New Scotland in the year 2012 A.D.

Today the Sovereign Kingdom of New Scotland continues to thrive and prosper under the omnipresent yet generous guise of Our Sovereign Lord and High King, McClintock I. With a strict New Scotland-first policy, our benevolent Majesty maintains our sovereign kingdom with divine and ancestral right with a bloodline extending all the way back to Fergus I. The Clansmeet is composed of lairds and barons who administer the various functions of a Sovereign nation whilst maintaining their own extensive lands. Our frontiers are secure with diplomatic ties and military might - whilst technologically inferior to the rest of Utopia due to the arduous maritime exodus - is nevertheless impressive for it's population. Historical Background
Central Utopia as it is commonly referred to (sometimes incorrectly as "Utopia Central") was once simply known as Utopia (this is still the case however for naming the entire region) and is thought to be the birthplace of humanity on the continent. Progressing quickly from using primitive tools to developing the concept of a 'building' which are seen throughout the region today, Central Utopia survived the nightly onslaught of wildlings that caused havoc on the landscape and people. The first full building ever to be created was the Grand Library (built October 2010, recently renovated in 2012) which still stands today, remaining Grand in its style and amount of books that it holds.

Central Utopia has been at the forefront of progression for years, being the first to develop methods of transport such as rail (first used on the Metro system and now the more advanced INTERcity Rail Network), air travel and boats. The first sky scraper (the old World Trade Center buildings), the first and still biggest Stadium complex, shopping mall (although remains unfinished), the first intelligence unit (MI5) and so forth. Because of this history, various elements of its past can still be seen on the mainland, however other items have been shipped to the Rawrtony Museum.

Central Utopia has always had its aims set high in maintaining a Utopian lifestyle and way of government. It is for this reason that because of its ideal location, some land of Central Utopia is leased to other countries in the spirit of co-operation. It is also because of this location and neutrality, that Central Utopia is the location of the Utopian Councils and purpose built diplomatic complex.

Today, due to low taxes set on its people, Central Utopia has lacked investment to ever improve its high quality infrastructure. Because it is surrounded by both capitalist and communist nations, it has become impossible to trade without the use of currency. Central Utopia does however remain a powerful and forward thinking state with an unsurmountable amount of history.

Historical Background

The small island of New Haven was founded in late 2011\early 2012 and was quickly colonised by a small expeditionary force. The small town of Haven quickly began to expand and were rapidly running out of space to build. In order to combat this, the Government of New Haven decided to take the necessary step of expanding it's borders to the Island of Isla Nublar, which had been abandoned shortly before by it's townsfolk (Reasons why are still a mystery)

Now with adequate space and with plans for a complete, Nation-wide structural overhaul of it's buildings, New Haven turned it's attention to the defense of it's borders from foreign invaders. In order to ensure security and continuing stability of the nation, New Haven signed a Commonwealth agreement with the Empire of Rawrtony who in return, appointed New Haven's current ruler Ben Hurley, with a seat within the Rawrtony Senate, the Imperial Council and the position of Grand Moff.

With the new treaty in place with the Empire of Rawrtony, New Haven began creating cutting edge vehicles exclusively for Rawrtony and the Commonwealth nations. Most notably the creation of the All Terrain Armoured Transports, Tie Fighters and Tie Bombers. A space-based ship was also constructed and was christened the Tantive IV, commanded by Captain Antilles.

Today, the bond between Rawrtony and the Commonwealth remains strong and the research into new aircraft designs continues. The Government just recently approved the construction of a new ground to ground to ground\space weapon for the complete assurance that the Islands of New Haven are protected from all angles.

Historical Background
Hesperia traces its origins back to early 2012, when settlers from the inner regions of Utopia arrived on the small island. Though the area was initially believed to be of little value due to its distance from the other nations of Utopia, those early settlers began work to turn the cold, snowy island into a place they could call home.

Hesperia continued to struggle, until the discovery of an ancient mine beneath the island gave the island the stable financial footing it needed. This mine would turn out to be but the first of a number of ancient structures uncovered on the island, presumably built by a long vanished ancient civilization.

With the rich mines providing Hesperia with a source of wealth, Hesperia began its expansion, beginning with its navy. As an island nation, Hesperia had always had a strong nautical tradition, and the primacy of the nation’s navy over other branches of the military reflects that. However, it was soon found that building ships off the coast of Hesperia with little infrastructure was inefficient, and, unwilling to compromise its traditional appearance, Hesperia looked further north.

The dedicated naval base and shipyard at Manticore was Hesperia’s first venture beyond the home island, and though few realized it at the time, It’s first step into the modern era. Now, the Manticoran Urbanization Project, led by Prince Noram himself, aims to turn Manticore into a modern urban center, his ‘Jewel of the North’ as he’d later describe it to the press.


This contrast between the strong pull of tradition and the drive to better itself and stand among the great nations of Utopia is, in many ways, the defining feature of the Hesperian national identity.
