Could be interesting, but I'm not holding my breath. Call me bitter, but the disappointments TOR has given me thus far are making it hard to feel optimistic about any future content announcements regarding it.

I think I'm done with TOR as well. I was hoping for something like SWG out of it, but I doubt I'll see that kind of depth until Star Citizen comes out.

I'm starting to wonder if this is part of why I can tolerate STO's failings more than I do TOR's, honestly. Whenever I play TOR I can't help but think 'why didn't they choose to do x or y like SWG?'. SWG was pretty dang fun, prior to the final expansion, and part of me still misses it.

...Oop. Sorry to get off-topic. To stay on topic: I'll reserve final judgement until I see if Bioware can make fighter PVP worth doing. Until then... I am skeptical.

Heh, I've gotten over ex's faster than SWG. It was just a good game, and it's just frustrating to see how far Bioware missed the mark with TOR.

That being said, I hope Bioware makes a good expansion, hopefully they will try to emulate SWG more in the future.

I think I've only logged into TOR once this year, back at the beginning. I see they still haven't added the hood toggle for JKs.

Fighters could be interesting, if they've got rid of the on-the-rail system. Never played the space part because of that.

If the fighters are on rails and not what players except/want (i.e. X-Wing vs. TIE fighter style), then it will be another flop.

Really, they need to open up space to sandbox mode, add random worlds and allow one to truly traveling about.

I have heard that it is off rails, but then I find out it's a pvp only expansion and I find my interest has waned somewhat.

The pvp in TOR was actually a great deal of fun, for me anyway, but I still needed other stuff to keep me interested when I lost my temper with the fifth 'random' round of HuttBall in a row...

I too think this is a step in the right direction, and I've been playing TOR for a couple of months now and am enjoying it. Since this announcement, I've had a good feeling that Bioware is going to deliver something better than expected. While no its not SWG, its given me a new hope.

I wait in cautious anticipation as well. I just logged in last night for the first time since around July. I kinda got disenchanted when it seemed like just when I would get my character geared up for PvP, they go ahead and change things to make said gear obsolete and I have to grind out comms again.

EDIT: Also, I support the hood toggle, but for both factions.

was excited for it till they revealed its a 12 vs 12 pvp only arena. Man I miss SWG anyhow they have a video up with all the details really wish this had a PvE element I loved SWTOR story, but combat needed a overhaul. I enjoy playing it as a time waster but really was hoping for corvette runs again in my star ship guess not in SWTOR http://www.swtor.com/galactic-starfighter

The best thing is that you can totally level to 55 with just doing the space missions now

Makes the grind a lot more enjoyable.

if u want to lvl up fast just repeat the tactical flashpoint called Kuat Drive Yard

Some people I know where gaining 2 lvl in the 2x exp w-e. and btw one 2x exp w-e is starting tomorrow.
