Thanks for sharing. I've been craving a new trek on TV for a while. I recently binge-watched TNG, DS9, and VOY online and finished each series in few weeks. I tried ENT, but didn't care for it.

Now, an NCIS meets Star Trek procedural? Maybe... I worry that it might be like the new "Agents of SHIELD," a lot of potential, a large fan base, but no one liking it all that much. I'd watch it, give it a while and then make up my mind. I love procedural shows, and I love Trek, so I might love this idea too.

I"m not sure about the second show idea though.

Bottom line, as long as JJ Abrams stays away from it, I'll like it. But that's another conversation for another time.

Think Renegades has a better chance than those ideas. For one we will see a lot of old faces again. Seems like CBS is just looking at Trek as a cash cow now, it's really sad how they have driven the franchise into the ground.

Looks fake to me. They can't spell 'Stafleet' or 'starship' correctly in that article. Not to mention the image captioned 'A new ship' is from ST:O. Also, they sound like terrible, terrible shows.

Star Trek procedural? No thanks. Opening wormholes between gates? Jump gates. Very B-5. Again, no thanks.

I'd rather they give us another series of Enterprise.

I would watch this. I agree with you this is a much better idea for a show. Even if it is a web show, I'd watch it. I appreciate the familiar faces too.

And you're right, to CBS, it's a cash cow. It's sad how a lot of great things are destroyed over time just to make money.

This almost has to be fake. And mocking of the fact CBS had two ideas in the last 10 years and is still milking them. CBS has stated time and time again that they are done with scifi as its not profitable. It is very very unlikely that the network will run a trek show on its broadcast channel (CBS).

And CBS's target audience would never go for it anyway. It would be a one and done show at the very very best.

I think there is enough fan made stuff outside what is worth watching. So no need for a new series and especially no CSI in space but this news might also be a hoax.

I think the popularity of STO and fiction etc etc means there is an appetite for more Trek and exploring more of the universe of Trek. Having said that the site is with fake or else they sound terrible ideas from the garbage pile.

I would like to see another Star Trek series, and a CSI series sounds better than a EMS Star Trek Series. If CBS somehow decided to make Star Trek series again, then I'd like to see it in another faction other than Federation. Like Klingon, or something, any thoughts?

Yeah I think Renegade has a far better chance than a CSI or EMS Star Trek. They've recently in the last few years closed down shop on CSI:Miami then CSI:NY so honestly if they feel they can maintain "several" Star Trek serial... I would beg to differ. And it sad to say, but with the success of the JJ-verse, I would say that CBS/Paramount would probably want to capitalize on that rather than re-introducing the proper universe to it's viewership.
