As we come to the end of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games, I think Canada has changed. We have worn our maple leafs on our chests with pride, and we're not afraid to say that this land, Canada, is the best country to live in. Even though we might be going through a slight downturn in the economy, we still remain proud of our land. From Victoria, BC to Alert, Inuvik to St. John's, NFLD, tens of thousands of proud citizens of this land have touched the olympic flame. Were we glad to get the Olympics here? Yes. Are we proud that our athletes are doing their damndest to win? YOU DAMNED RIGHT!

Yeah - you're wrong Alex.
Since Canada repatriated our constitution in 1982, we have had no dependence on the UK, and the UK has had absolutely no authority over Canada in any way (apart from normal international relations).
Since this debate is weak anyways, I shall give you a weak source:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_Act_1982
Anyways, if you're referring to the Queen, Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of Canada. The queen of england and the Queen of Canada may be the same person, but they are completely different positions. The crowns for each are even different.
/rant
Anyways, now that I have that out of my system, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN (of CANADA)!
