Apologies if this has been posted earlier. I've got a few quick questions for PvE:

1. Does anyone fly BoPs at 50? If so, what's your favorite and why?
2. Does anyone fly the Fleet Norgh? If so, can you apply the Ning'tao skin to it?
3. What's your favorite gear set combo?

3. What's your favorite gear set combo? A lot of people like 2 piece honour guard but fitting comes down to things such as are you mainly PVE or PVP we can assist more once we know this

The intent is for use with PvE. My primary concern is eSTF viability, because BoPs are squishy and can't survive in a firefight. I'd like to employ hit and run tactics, but I don't want to spend so much time cloaked and healing that I'm not contributing to team DPS.

People do specialist torp/minelayers, the honour guard set adds 25% torp damage and nukara mine is supposed to be very effective when placed precisely from an agile ship like a BoP. In PUG eSTF you very rarely see anyone flying a BoP, like most things in this game any ship can work with the right player and team. Nukara mines for crowd control and torps for whacking structures, its not strafing with disruptors blazing but would work well.

If you want to go with distributors blazing a raptor or destroyer is probably more sensible, although you don't see much of those either these days. The Rom crit hits, plasma bonuses and battle cloak make a light weight wardbird the rational option for people that just want the highest dps ship, although playing a different faction for more bang is not to everyone's liking.

1. I like to fly my B'rel retrofit with the B'roth skin on it, and once the T5 shipyard is finished I will upgrade to the Fleet version
2. I don't fly that one, but it does look nice and the Ning'tao skin should work on it.
3. Currently a Full Honour Guard set, mainly for the +25% to projectile damage since the B'rel can fire Torps while cloaked. I also choose to make my B'rel as close to a canon set-up as I can with 3 Disruptor DHC & 1 Photon Torp up front, and 1 Disruptor Turret and 1 Photon Torp in back (it had an aft torp in DS9).

Getting a BoP to be good in STFs isn't really hard as they have a lot of DPS to kill targets quickly, and with the +25% to Damage flanking bonus they are getting soon it should make them even more deadly, not sure how to figure out the which part of a Cube is aft though

Of cource BoPs are squishy and you need to get used to the making an attack run, and then cloak run away & heal if needed. One of the reasons I love the B'rel Retrofit is that it's Enhanced Cloak allows you to heal while cloaked, which makes it quite survivable if you time your cloak right.
But if they Cruisers in the STF are doing their job right you shouldn't need to worry as they should have the agro to take the damage, while you dish it out.

You mean the passive bonuses from the Rep system?, it mostly offensive, but I choose some defensive ones if I think they are more beneficial.

Yeah, in stfs I've wondered if the those flying fragile dps type ships were going all out for firepower or balancing things a little, some guys can go through a cube so quickly its like they've gone beyond worrying about defense at all.

Thanks for all the input and suggestions. I level'd my tac with BoPs and I fly a Kumari Glass Cannon on my Fed so I'm not too worried about handling, my biggest concern was eSTF viability. I think I'll dust off one of the free ones before springing for the Fleet ship just to kick the tires again. My Tac is currently flying the vet destroyer and then a raptor prior to that but I'm looking for something a little more strategic for some variety between my cruisers and carrier play.

I do enjoy my Kumari but without a cloak it is arguably more fragile since it is more difficult to evade aggro once you have poked at everything within your CSV attack cone.

If so, what's your favorite and why? 1 is flying a B'Rel and my 2nd is on a Fleet Hoh'Sus

On both builds I use
Fore : omega plasma torp + 1 quad cannon dis + 1 polarized dis dhc + 1 nanite dis dhc
Aft : 2 fleet dis turret
KHG MK XII Set
Elite Fleet Reinforced Warp Core
2 enhanced neutronium console - Universal Assimilated cons
1x Stealth Module Mk XII ShH -Th - Plasmonic Leech - Zero Point Console
4 x tactical disruptor

Boff Layout :

With the flanking system nowadays BoP are becoming impressive ships.
