I am in the market for the next epic ship. I was grinding for the Temporal Destroyer for my eng Rommy until I read the thread about no cloak. Now I am in the mind for a cruiser, or Tal Destroyer for my level 39 eng Klink. I am just now exploring the KDF builds and traits and would love for any advice on the matter. Oh yeah I run Dps on all my toons Tac or Eng. Thanks

Don't discount the Temporal Destroyer, it's a great ship, I know how nice cloak is as I'm playing my Romulan a lot but it's a nice ship with a great layout. Also the Elachi S'Golth Escort is very similar to the Destroyer, which is what I am currently flying. As a Tac officer I prefer ships where I can run a single commander level tac officer and leave the rest up to tanking and in the case of either of those ships a GW becasue GW + Scatter = Win! To offset the lack of a second tac officer I just use DOFFS with cooldown bonuses, I have no issues with coming out on top for DPS.

Monbosh is an excellent ship. Using it as a TAC right now and I can only imagine it's survivability with an ENG captain. I'm also a fan of the Tal'Shiar Destroyer but it is VERY squishy; but while alive the DPS is ridiculous and the maneuverability is wonderful. The cloak is not a battle-version but it is built in and can offer a nice opening alpha. Perhaps the Tal'Shiar battle-cruiser would better suit an ENG instead.

I can support the Monbosh from an engineering point of view, it's survivability is fantastic and it does support fights with a considerable amount of damage. Support/Control pets are a plus every time. I have it right now and refuse to change.

Temporal Destroyer is a great ship, I almost regret using it on my SCI Toon instead of my TAC. The S'Gloth Escort is another great ship, a bit squishy but still very powerful. I use the S'Gloth is a solid NWS ship.

S'gloth and Hirogen escorts are both great "budget destroyers" (You can get either for less than 60m). Both have great offensive and defensive potential. However, the most rounded and probably the best destroyer in-game is the Temporal Destroyer. It's Offensive and Defensive potential is superb. It's built sturdy with an above average shield modifier and hull. On a Federation or KDF character, it's got stunning looks.

I used the Hirogen for some time, but, for some reason I couldn't keep myself on track and moved on from there. That and I guess the look didn't appeal to either. :/
