I think I am going to start one of those topics where newbies and semi-noobies can ask odd questions.

My first odd question is this

Is there any console that can break the effects of a tractor beam? Disactivate it, neutralize it?

Basically you want anything that either gets you (or your attacker) out of range or disables your attacker.

What Chris said, Polarize Hull is the most common and effective - particularly against Borg who love to spam tractors.

As mentioned, there are a lot of ways to get out of tractors, however you may also wish too (if you haven't already) put some skill points into 'Starship Interial Dampers' which will allow you to in some cases fly straight on out, most cases Evasive Maneuvers will be all that you need.

Oh great, yeah my problem is always with the Borg.

When the Borg tractor me, my nose is already pointing at their ship.
So my solution to their tractor beam is to just nod condescendingly while I destroy them.

The Voth are more clever, they disable my engines so I can't turn my weapons onto them. The Borg are kinda dumb.

OK another weird question, I have a Klingon maxed officer, LT General I think, he is a science officer, what are the best weapons, consoles and what ship will be the best to be useful doing PVE missions?

Or did I make a mistake? Should I delete my Klingon science and go tactical?

One other item you can pick up is Deuterium, it's a consumable that you can get from a mission in Eta Eridani (mission is unmarked, but at Alhena). Has the same properties as evasive manoeuvres but does not share a cooldown with it.

Yup I use it all the time myself, only crappy thing about it is it stacks to 5 only.
Another note about that mission, if you pick it up while in the sector and come back the next day ( 20 hour timer IIRC ) run the mission but before you leave the map claim your rewards, immediately after claiming while still in the map the dialog to start it pops up, click accept and it will auto complete ( so you dont have to do any fighting just mouse click through the dialog ) You will miss out on any loot since your not fighting for the "second round" but it is a good time to Dil ration.

I do this with a variety of missions, start them then do them back to back, it helps to cutback on travel time IMO.

Its a shame they've sort of broken the Alhena mission though, I haven't seen a computer core fragment drop there since Legacy of Romulus came out.

OK I got my new Klingon fleet ship is a Fleet Tor'Kaht Battle Cruiser retrofit Vor'cha Class Cruiser, I am a scientist officer Klingon. Is that a good ship for my guy?
