Curiosity question

When I look at the forum, I see the numbers listed for all the subforums and I see 2 subforums with the same number 61 (Community Announcements and Starfleet Academy they both are 61, also Community Support Centre and House of Kular both use number 10), is this normal or not? Also the numbers are in an irregular alternate order, instead of starting like 1 2, 3 etc we have 61, 41 , etc.

I don't understand the question really. Are you talking about the small numbers next to the name buttons, because I believe that they are aesthetic and mean nothing

Yes I am talking about the numbers, I didn't know if they were the numbers for each category or just something to make them look better, because if they don't mean anything we could at least change the 2 61 and the 2 10s to at least give the impression that they are some Federation numeric code. (me just thinking outside of the cylinder)

Kantazo is refering to the number leading the board name.

As for the reason:

It's the leading two digits of the board ID, with the exception for Starfleet Operations and House of Kular because those are (hopefully) wrong

Yes those are the numbers, if you check you can see two sets, 1 set of number 61s and 1 set of number 10s

Even though this image is labeled correctly, the number in the image wrong. The number should be 51 not 41.

I am not sure exactly if this is something that I am not getting lol but as I said its all an aesthetic thing and I doubt its worth going through every PNG to change it is worth it

Well there does seem to be a pattern with almost all of the forum images, sans 2 or 3. Perhaps a change would not be that much work for our illustrious image/web folks?

There's no need to open every PNG.

It's a simple fix... Open the corresponding PSD files and make the following changes;

Open http://ufplanets.com/images/lcarsv2/forums/forum_51.png
Change the 41 to 51

Open http://ufplanets.com/images/lcarsv2/forums/forum_44.png
Chnge 61 to 44

From what I can tell, the numbers in the images correspond to the forum ID, so from a Forum Administrative perspective it makes sense. They could make the images go in order ie 1,2,3, but that would require them to open every image file to renumber them. IMHO, it may not be worth the effort for the effect. It's all a matter of taste I suppose, but I like the perception of seemly random numbers.
