What is Novus Æterno?

Novus Æterno is a persistent RTS MMO in a seamless universe where players negotiate, trade and conquer. There are no rules or pre-set missions to the game; players have free reign over the universe.

How do you play?

Players will start with a capital planet protected by an impenetrable fortress shield. Players will be able to colonise neighbouring solar systems or conquer worlds from other players/alliances. The game never stops, so while you are off-line you can be pushed back to your home-world!

Customisation

Planets and ships are fully customisable! Build a ship that deals damage or create a carrier using the building modules, what you want your ships to be, you create it. Planets similarly can be customised to be a production world with ship building capability or a research hub to discover new technologies for your empire!

Structures

• Mines - Mines produce the necessary materials to construct components in your factories. Increased number of mines, in conjunction with high numbers of factories can give you the ability to construct larger numbers of ships, in a shorter number of cycles.
  
• Factories - Factories construct the various components (weapons, engines, utilities, and bays) that are used on your ships. The more factories you have, the more components you can build at any given time. These structures use the resources mined and stores components in the warehouse.
  
• Shipyards - Shipyards allow you to construct ships. These structures are essential for the construction of ships, each shipyard can have a construction queue of 5 ships - but the speed at which these ships are constructed are base on the number of components available to construct them and/or the time necessary to build these components.
  
• Spaceports - Spaceports can store, launch ships and repair ships. These can be used to hide your fleet from the enemy, so when they attack your planet you can surprise them by launching the ships.
  
• Warehouses - Warehouses store the mined resources, but also the components constructed by the factories. The more warehouses you have, the more components you can store for your ship construction.

Ships

• Corvettes - Small, agile, lightly armoured, and lightly armed ships that are very quick and easy to produce.
  
• Destroyers - Slightly larger than the Corvette, with more armaments, more hull and generally a bigger better ship.
  
• Cruisers - Cruisers a versatile and quick producing ship, able to equip more armaments with a moderate hull.
  
• Battleships - Much larger vessels, with more armaments and thicker hulls to provide more muscle in any fight, a backbone ship of any fleet as they are equally quick to produce, and are very strong!
  
• Dreadnoughts - The largest and strongest class of ship in Novus, whilst it is slightly slower to produce, a fleet of well designed Dreadnoughts would be an unstoppable force.

Anyone who pledged for a Steam key that hasn't been able to access the Novus server now can!
In addition, Infiltrators will need to redeem their Steam keys in order to keep accessing the server.
