    Neat, something to play around with while I muster the motivation to actally start running missions again.

    Indeed, mastering the fov and renderscale commands can create some amazing screenshots, however in a lot of cases the lack of decent ship textures can cause them to be rather... ew, if you get up too close that is.

    Code, Im having trouble taking screenshots with Renderscale 2. They always appear black. Did you do anything else to produce that screenshot?

    I'm running STO on a laptop with an older GPU so I've had to spend considerable time playing with gfx options to get something that doesn't cause jerkiness and blackscreening. But if I understand you correctly in that you are fine in normal view but are getting black screenshots only, then that goes beyond my limited expertise.

    This could be related to your GFX card or drivers, make sure you are running the latest for your hardware or try changing your DirectX rendering between 9 and 11. 9 is the game default, but I run 11 without problems on an ATI 5870 and an NVIDIA GTX 675 MX.
