This is the current build i use on the HEC. Main use for this ship is pve.

(on a side note: i haven't got the Fleet version yet but i'm planning on using a science console with the plasma proc.)
I use the following DOFFs
Projectile Weapons Officer
sp) Chance to reduce the time to recharge torps (very rare)
sp) 25% Chance to gain 20 shield power when using torp weapons (very rare) <- this one might be great for you 100% torp boats out there
Flight Deck Officer
sp) increases carrier pet accuracy while in intercept mode (very rare)
Development Lab Scientist
sp) Recharge time reduced for science team and buff (very rare)
Nurse
sp) increases crew recovery while in combat, when crew is below 75% (rare) <- the reason why i don't use bio consoles
Surviving is one thing but currently i just don't do that much dps. I haven't got much gear yet, so what you see is what you get. However working on getting the Zero point module. And grinding for getting my Romulan & omega rep to tier4 and beyond. So i can get the omega and Hyper torp.
As i haven't got much choice in gear yet, so i'd like pointers to get on the right track. Also some advice on how to use the ship as for boff ability's and such wouldn't hurt .
Also feel free to post your build(s) for the HEC. Could help other people with the HEC.

Most of these Doffs are pricey 0.0 ill see if i can get them eventually.
It's going to be a while before i get the "Dreambuild".
But for now this is what i got planned more or less.

Today ill get mk xi Field Gens (from dili store). I'm using the Obelisk core for the 2 set +10% ap damage, till i get one of those fleet cores with that damage bonus.
Also stacked out the skill tree. And i wonder if Starship Armor Reinforcements* is really that important?
Since i'm not planning on doing much pvping would it be better to put the points somewhere else?
And what do you think of the overall skill tree? (for me ground combat is clearly secondary as you'll see)
*This skill improves your Starship's Damage Resistance to Kinetic and Physical damage

What I shared is something to work towards. It's not something I'd expect 99% of people to shuck out in one day.

Currently using:

Aux power to structural intergrity is far better then i expected. I got like a 14sec cd on it, what almost seems like a bug. So i can almost run it continuously so i get 20+ resist buff. And it does a little under 4k hull heal.
as for base power lvls:
weapons [100]=>[125] with addition power.
Shields [35]=>[67] with addition power.
Eng [20]=>[47] with addition power.
Aux [45[=>[59] with addition power.
While in battle almost have all systems are above 75, apart from eng power. But that will change with a Fleet core i'd expect. Also my cd on re-spawning hangar pets seems improved. Had my aux as low as possible before, stubborn me.
As for the doffs with "reduce recharge timer for Torpedo Weapons", ill get one them from omega rep store. The other one i use is "LAW" from that Nimbus III mission chain. Then the only ones i need to get are "Reduce recharge timer for Cannon Special Attacks". Is there a way of getting them apart from the exchange?
