Well, I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I've been with the UFP community for almost two years and still have no idea how to properly create my fleet uniforms for the Fed and HoK fleets. I've tried accessing the tailor presets, but they never apply correctly or completely. Can someone kindly link the thread outlining the creation instructions for both fleets? My forum search-fu fails me. 
RSO's, please consider adding these links to your welcome email/list of sticky threads for new recruits (if not already there).

Greetings Deadalus,
Idealy the best way is to use the drop down menu at the top, although some times it is best to make a few little tweaks, since SFO haven't yet got their own uniform guide I've included an image below showing the colors you should use 
for the red simply change it to C6 for Gold, or E6 for Teal.

Well, I needed a siggy update and ended up having to submit 3-4 different times before it was done. Why? Simple. I did NOT read the directions on the website in full. Every mistake I made was addressed in the READ THIS FIRST post. That being said, the members who handle that did so in a friendly professional manner and did not call me an idiot.... at least not to my face. I'm sure they were thinking it! :emoticon_ShiftyEyes

Stormy... behind the scenes we were questioning your "Borg" side, as it fought against 'assimilation' into the standards. I guess your Borg half likes to be different.
But yes, we plan to make this process easier and friendlier (graphic how-tos, etc), as we want everyone to be excited and happy with how awesome and beautiful their individual signatures look.

Though, I will say that I like those... going for an entirely new uniform standard would have to be discussed and pondered on.
Mainly, the uniform has pieces that are entirely 'free'. C-Store only options will not work.

Hey Trace,
Whilst I think being able to discuss possible changes to the current fleet uniform is perfectly acceptable, I doubt there will be any sudden changes. As Silynn has stated it has to be a combination of clothing which is freely available and appealing to all members. Sticking with the uniforms we have is the simplest route available to us at this time.
That being said, if demand is high enough for such a change to occur at any point, it could eventually be approached through the proposal system. If you want to discuss this in-depth, or debate any other ideas you may have, then always feel free to PM me.

Ideas are good to have, even if random in thought. It's how things evolve or improve.
Don't let it stifle any future input or thoughts you may have.
With that said, the same uniforms have been used for quite sometime. Perhaps if enough people support the idea of an uniform update, the Starfleet Operations (SFO) team may give it some serious consideration. There may even be SFO staff who already support this.
