I'm trying to make a movie prop out of my old First Contact, and it involves tinkering. Does anbody how to make the power setting indicators? I'll make it from scratch if I have to. I think the actual thing is called a sequencer.

i did electronics and i can tell you that if you want to make it with an overload circuit youll need an NE 555 timer but there is a much simpler way. What you could use is a Electronic graph display and link it up to a P.I.C And use a computer program make the algorithm. its difficult to explain, But i made something similar for a school project. I can direct you to http://www.rapidonline.com
they are a good electronics supplier. alternatively Radio shack may have what you need and will probably help you too.

I'm sure I have seen a few YouTube videos of people modifying Star Trek models and collectables to be more prop like. Might be worth having a look there and seeing if there are any helpful tips or someone that has a lot of experience that might be able to offer better advice.

I already tried asking. No luck. But I did find a site for electronics help.
