    Has anyone ever had those moments where you were like... "Man, I sure wish they would add ________ to STO." ? Because i know I have. What are some of the things that they haven't added yet or would never add that you would like to see? I know myself I was like where the heck is my Polaron Torpedo. I can't be a proper Klingon captain without my Polaron Torpedo man. What are your thoughts? Constitution light:mrgreen:

    Don't forget the Klingon Polaron torpedo from Starfleet Command III with the funny sound effect. *Flomp*


    The polaron weapon was developed by the Klingons in an effort to create a torpedo-based weapon to keep pace with the Federation’s research into quantum torpedoes. Although the explosive discharge is not much greater than a standard photon torpedo system, the delivery system has been vastly upgraded to include a modulating polaron radiation generator. This surrounds the torpedo in a field of polaron emissions, which are constantly changing modulation. This allows the torpedo to pass through most forms of energy shielding in use today in order to impact directly on the target’s hull. The upgrade also provides the torpedo with a slightly increased range.

    The polaron torpedo charges at a rate equal to the photon torpedo, but it has a slightly longer range. Each torpedo has a chance to bypass an enemy’s shields and damage their hull directly.

    Im still waiting for them to add territory control PvP where you can capture star systems and build starbases. Now that theres peace however I dont think it will ever happen, even though they said it would be in the game since before launch Sad

    If they did add Polaron torpedos, they would be Bio-Tribble Polaron torpedos with fuzzy x3 and a dot that makes you run slower.

    Ah yes, I remember the SFC 3 torps... I didn't remember the Armada variant however. Thanks Dark.

    I still think territory control may be coming, but probably not at the scope of SFC style territory control. The new battlezone maps are a good example of what they are experimenting with currently.

    Shakken I would so buy that. And Begotten knows his facts lol you win Cake and no I'm not trying to make you fat with cake *Looks around to see if anyone is looking*. Yeah it is from the old Armada games, and Starfleet command three and it's mostly used on the Vor'cha in Armada so it would have made more sense instead of the Isometric Charge. And they probably might do the PvP Territory Control Warzone still but they might make a new race or something like that which can handle the all three factions together. But i doubt that will happen.

    I wish I could buy more of those torps the VOth use. You get crappy white versions with the lockbox ships, but it'd be great to be able to upgrade them. Figure they could add them to the lobi store, and while they are at it, add other dual torps, like quantum chroniton or something.

    Also we need warp cores for the old space sets and kits for the old ground sets, now that all the new stuff is getting 4 pieces.

    I'd like to see them come up with an episode where we had to go to a planet incognito as a local. Always did enjoy those tv episodes.
    I'd like to expand on this and include missions that focus on scientific outcomes. Like the ST:TNG episode "Galaxy's Child where "junior" (now called a Gekli in STO) attached itself to the Enterprise. I think it would be fun to have missions like this where you're making choices that are scientific in nature and have dramatic effects. Like power going out, having to evacuate sections of your ship (or starbase) because of a hull breach, being locked in an enemy stronghold and having to sneak your way out (maybe fly a scorpion down the hallway...okay that's combat related, but still!). Different maps that you could visit with story driven cut scenes that build up to the end and the outcome of all your decisions. Still exciting and story driven, but without all the gun play (or most of it) like some of the Foundry writers are trying to do.

    Stormy you and Soral make a good point I wouldn't mind seeing a few missions like that. Curzon give it time I'm sure they'll probably doing more dual torpedos soon.

    Oh I am sure they will, I just want to see them on the market like the special energy weapons.

    I am assembling some Voth ships for my Klingon alt and plan to have it be voth themed (so using Voth weapons) and it's a real shame the torpedoes the ships come with aren't the best they could be. I would love to be able to replace them with top tier chroniton transphasics just like I will be replacing the stock beams with Mk XII Voth AP arrays from boxes.


    Non combat missions would be cool, though I do have to say with the recent FE's I have begun to hate the hugely verbose dialogue boxes and how many of them there are.


    As far as missions go, the biggest thing I would like to see is to split the party. A standard away team episode in Star trek involves half the cast going to the surface and the other half staying in orbit and it swaps back and forth between them dealing with problems in their own domains. I would love to be able to send my captain and some bridge officers down and periodically go back up to the ship and fly as my first officer and another set of doffs. Alternatively I would love to be able to do away missions as the first officer.

    Barring that, if would be cool to at least have some more interaction with the other group. Make it seem like the ship is doing something still while you are on the surface and when you send an away team while in space, that they are doing something.
