Hey Everyone,
My name is [SDF] Firestorm, but all my friends call me Luke. 
I've been clanning for a long time now, I've been a member of both UFDF and XFS over the years (and the odd little clan here or there). I've gamed with UFP members, and even called some of you my friends. So I just wanted to stop buy your forums and let you all know I have created my own clan, the Solaris Defence Force (link in my sig). I'm not here to drop a link, I'm here to ask for help. We're a star trek clan taking our first steps into the clanning community and I could think of no better clan to offer us advice (if your willing to give it).

EDIT: Oh and I have to say, your site and forums are immense! I can honestly say I have never seen better. It must have cost you a lot of time and money.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes I knew I'd picked the right place.
At the moment the SDF is really coming together, we're still a bit low on members and I haven't filled all of the upper positions yet but its a good start. Recruitment is my only need for the moment. I was just wondering if you had any general advice on getting my foot in the door of the clanning community (so to speak) and to make my clan more appealing to new members.
I'll stop by your diplomatic area with a proposal I think might interest you.
