Well looking at his last name, then at the name of the ship, clearly one of those two names is lying. And I'm guessing it's the ship name.

I've gone with Mass Effect related names on my current toon. His last name is Krios and his ship is the Mordin Solus

I tend to follow established canon Klingon ship naming patterns, myself. Took me days to decide on a name for my current Bird of Prey... Which is sad, because most people probably think I just hit random.

All my ships are Mass Effect related too! I use planet names though, because they sound appropriate.

I'm currently in the USS Tuchanka, a Jem'Hadar Dreadnaught Carrier. Tough and slow, but hits hard when it finally gets there.

I usually go with Starfleet for English words that are pretty unused. Klingons and Romulan I usually use names and then base it off of a "historical" thing.

For my federation character I use great city's of the British empire, my romulan just gets random names

Feds on my account get thought-out names, usually from ancient Greek or Roman people or cities for Starfleet ships (USS Caesar, USS Troy, USS Augustus, etc.). For non-Starfleet ships, I give them names of ships that suffered some sort of catastrophic failure during their maiden or early voyages/had some form of critical fault. (Teggethoff, Vasa, Titanic, etc.).

My KDF is a Cardassian, so I name all of his ships mixes between different Cardassian ships, using an apostrophe to make the names look Klingon (IKS Koran'Axon, IKS Prak'Nor, etc.).

I just hit random on my Rommie. Looks nice and saves me having to come up with another naming pattern.

Whoever named that abomination is probably not too interested in having naming conventions on their ships.
