So before anyone gets too excited, this isnt something special like a phaser or tricorder. As far as I know it was only used in one episode, but when I realized it last night I just had to post it.
The scene below is from season 6 of Voyager, Life Line where The Doctor travels to the Alpha Quadrant to save Dr Zimmerman
Now the picture I have below is of a water "bottle" I got from a restaurant many years ago called Mars 2112.
Anyone notice the similarities? Now I have no idea if this was a VERY subtle product placement, or if its just coincidence, but I found it really funny so I thought I would share it. Oh and in case you were wondering, the black rectangle near the top is a spout that you fold up to drink out of.

Probably just random whatever they grab from the store to use as a prop. They take whatever they can find here to there to modify into a prop rather than making EVERYTHING from the ground up.
The mugs Klingons are always using are liquid measuring cups for commercial kitchens. I think they are 1/2 quart measures so each of those ridges demarcates a cup of liquid.

Ya it was. It was so cool, to get into the restaurant you could get in a simulator that had you launch from Earth and land on Mars.
