I have recently been very eager to start up a Serial Roleplay again. I have been rather reluctant to build on the premise I have for a serial roleplay because I am aware that the interest in RPG-X has dwindled over the past couple of years. So I am putting this poll up here to kind of get an idea of whether there is enough people interested in RPG-X for me to start a Serial Roleplay.
I originally joined the UFP for RPG-X and have been involved in many SRPs throughout my time in the UFP and I would be really interested in seeing whether we can build an interest in this immense engine again. Since it is available for all members in the community to play through the elite force downloader, it gives us an opportunity to try. So the object of this thread will be to see just how much interest there is with starting a new SRP. What I will do below is give a premise of the idea I have and the name of the Map that will be used.
Star Trek: Expanse
The year is 2375. The Treaty of Bajor has been signed; the Dominion War is over. Its time the Federation moved into a time of reconstruction and renewal of its purpose, to explore and seek out new life. The U.S.S Solaris has just completed her maiden voyage and has received its first deep space assignment. To explore the Markanion Expanse. The region, which is lightyears in size has never been explored. What lies ahead for the crew of the Solaris is unknown; but what meets them when they arrive is turbulent.
Episode 1: Tear Part 1
The USS Solaris arrives at the Markonian Expanse. As they prepare to begin there mission, they are hurtled back by a unknown blast of energy which leaves a subspace tear in the fabric of space. With the Comm system damaged and warp drive inoperable, Solaris' mission starts...
This would be the general premise of the series, as well as giving you an idea of what the first part of the two part pilot would be about. We would use the Solaris map, which is a Nova class map and by far one of the best RPG maps around. It has 8 decks and everything you would find on a starship. The map also includes working jefferies tubes and turbolifts, and buttons which fire weapons, shut down the core and change the alert status. I have put some pictures of the map below.

I hope all that are interested just take time to have a look at this thread and tell me honestly if you have the time to commit to this SRP. Its really dependent on how many people are interested in being involved. RPG-X is a wonderous tool which allows us to take control of a starship and walk around it, using its features. For those who wish to know a bit more about RPG-X, I would suggest they read this thread: https://ufplanets.com/showthread.php...lcome-to-RPG-X
RPG-X is something I have played at one point, I had fun but never got a chance to play again due to the timing, if I am able to take part, I would certainly look forward to it
I am more then understanding that people will obviously have conflicts, with things like work and holidays and other events. I have been very reluctant to name a time slot until I have an idea of whether there is enough interest to go ahead with this. So the time of the event is pretty much open for debate. That said I am eager to see how many people respond. I have set a 20 day limit on the poll, but I will most likely accept the voting after 4-5 days. More then enough time for this thread to be out there. At the moment there seems to be 9 people who are interested which is a good start.
Have the issues with the RPG-X installer been fixed? I know previously that our version had a few issues such as crashing when trying to go to the emotes menu and lots of stability issues such as not being able to spawn objects.
If yes then I would absolutely be interested.
If no then based on the last SRP people will spend more time re-connecting to the server then roleplaying which completely killed the SRP so I wouldn't be interested.

Most if not all of the problems we had with the client before hand have been fixed with the new version and the Elite Force Launcher.
In which case I am definitely interested and have voted accordingly.
RPG-X is still the most authentic Star Trek experience you can get from a piece of software. It takes a little bit of effort to get used to it mind but the learning curve really isn't that bad and once you've got the hang out of it you will find it really enjoyable.

I am very encouraged to see, not only the amount of people who have voted, but also the amount of interest that there seems to be. There is obviously no time-slot yet for this project but if anyone wants to give an indication of the times which they can do then perhaps we can iron out a time and people can give definite answers.
There seems to be a concensus for Sunday evenings forming. What do those who have voted in the positive (being either of the first two , especially those who voted for the second) think about doing it on Sunday 21:00 UFP Time. It is two hours after STF Sundays begin which gives time for people to do both if they wish and Sundays are popular?
