Ok, so i thought i would throw this out there after having sertain issues with HOW i play ground, so i was wondering how most of you guys play ground and how your heads up display are setup. screenshots would be great! - what made me come to posting this was a few people asking me what the best ground setup is, BOFF and DOFF wise and kits are easy, but how about the HUD, well that had me thinking, so if u guys can all throw your 2 cents in that would be grand!
basically a few questions
How do you control your toon?
Mouse & Keyboard / Just Keyboard / Gamepad and or 1 handed macro keybaords (like razors produce)
How is your Hud setup?
where your items are posistioned and what order your trays and icons go
Whats is your Gameplay style?
Ie Shooter Mode or Normal
Dose your setup change Per Sci,Tac,Eng?
Now for me i basically just use my keyboard as my mouse gets in my way some times and slows me down, i have even been known to set up binds to my xbox joypad and play in shooter mode with that, Just like mass effect, though i suck 10 times more, but damn its fun,
all input is appricated as we can see how wide arange people play

How do you control your toon?
Mouse & Keyboard
How is your Hud setup?
My trays are in the bottom center with my toon status to their left and target status immediately above my toon status. I don't use the vertical trays in ground combat; I don't need them. I've found I use the keyboard to trigger skills on my main tray and ALT tray and use my mouse to trigger any functions on my CTL tray. I also alter the vertical order of the main trays to that the ALT tray is below the CTL tray, with the CTL tray being the topmost one. The Number tray is always the bottom-most tray.
Row 1 (from left to right)
weapon attack, exploit attack, melee strike, primary self-heal skill, team support skill 1, team support skill 2, the rest are kit-specific functions
Alt Row (from left to right)
Hypo, shield battery, remodulator, rep-based self heal, rep-based self buff, the rest are career-based functions
CTL Row
Usually just the Rez skill and any other skill I want clickable but not easy to accidentally trigger (like AoE skills around the Borg).
Whats is your Gameplay style?
Normal; I only use Shooter Mode when destroying the power nodes in Khitomer Ground. I dislike how Shooter Mode takes away my bird's-eye-view.
Does your setup change Per Sci, Tac, Eng?
Only in terms of kit-based functions and career-based functions. Each function type is located in the same tray slots while common use skills (like attack skills) are in the exact same tray location across all careers. Doing this helps me reset my brain quickly when switching between toons of different careers.

How do you control your character?
Mouse and keyboard.
How is your Hud setup?
Gotta say that I`m a clicker by heart and don`t use CTRL and ALT that often so most of the trays are arranged in a order that makes it easy for me to click on them and see when they`re off of cooldown.
I don`t even bother putting Rifle Butt on a tray because by the time the enemy gets close they`re about dead. I`d say it`s pretty damn important to have Set Target on a button easy to use so you can control who boffs are going to focus their fire upon.
Another great few icons to pull to your tray are boffs skills which you don`t want them to use (rather waste amirite) by right clicking on them near their portrait and then dragging them to a tray by right mouse.
Rally point, normal and passive mode are good to have as well for ease of use. NOTE though that to return your boffs from rally points you can`t click the button again, you have to right click the initial button near the boff portraits. Either I`m too dumb to figure it out but I have not been able to go around this quirk.
Whats is your Gameplay style?
RPG Mode. Played with Shooter for quite some time but your hand gets sore in Dyson GBZ and you lose the ability to click on your trays without pressing B to toggle modes.
Does your setup change per Sci, Tac, Eng?
Nope. Pretty much all that Hevelin said applies to me as well. I play a few MMOs out there and for the most part I try to have all the same buttons for movement, running and accessing different parts of UI.

How do you control your toon?
Mouse and keyboard. I haven't played with a game pad.
How is your HUD setup?
Xeldore's set up but with chat window and action bars reversed. Also, I keep the screen as close to over the shoulder as it allows, since I like to jump into Shooter every now and then.
Whats is your game play style? Does your setup change per character?
It changes by what the character is set up to do, yes.
Engineering - Dorian wields double turrets (Embassy and BioTech), double floating turrets and the Counter-Command's Medic Gen. The floating turrets will only come out if I know I need the firepower.
Tactical - Karrk is all about the grenades and I use every single one. Need to learn how to jump into shooter mode when tossing the grenade for free roam tossing, then jump back out of shooter mode.
Science - Isha is all about the Exotherm, Analysis Gas, Tricorder Scan and the like, though I think I need to pop the Vascular Regen on her again for healing.
Tactical - Raw is a commanding type of captain, using a vast array of shouts and cries. I pretty much run and gun with him only.
