New member checking in to introduce myself.
Long time gamer returning to STO after a long absence. I've played most of the major MMOs of the last 15 years and have never been able to find he kind of great community that I enjoyed in my first MMO, Everquest. (Played EQ from launch in 1999, didn't realize at this time how truly rare the guild experience I had there was) Now that I'm a bit more mature of a gamer, I'm more interested in the community aspect of he game than the hard core end game stuff.
I'm a major fantasy/sci-fi fan who has read MOST of the major works in the genre. My favs in no particular order are McCaffreys Dragonrider books, Wheel of Time, Honor Harrington, Asimov's Foundation books and Katherine Kurtz Deryni novels.
I consider myself lucky to have lived long enough to see so much fantasy/sci-fi on television that I am free to not like some of it and put it on ignore! (Hello Game of Thrones
