It's probably safe to say that many of us here at this community own at least one piece of Star Trek merchandise or memorabilia. Some will own many bits and pieces they've collected over the years, others may have only recently started collecting Star Trek items such as the Star Trek Starship Collection.
My question to you is:
What is your favourite Star Trek item (or collection of items) you own? Why is it your favourite? How did it come into your possession?
I'm most curious to see what things will be posted here. Make me jealous!
As for the favourite items(s) I own, that would be my Deep Space Nine autograph cards. I decided to pick them up several months ago, I've only got 3 so far, but it's a fun little hobby to work away on.

Star Trek Maps (1980) - two large double-sided wall maps with TOS information. I have two sets, purchased in the 1980's at Trek conventions. I have had a fascination with maps since childhood. These are my favorites.

Wow Wixi...those compression rifles...holy mother! I have always wanted one! A very impressive collection by far!
Whilst my image isn't very clear, these pictures were bought at my first Star Trek convention in 2006, and I had them signed by the actual actors. My favourite actor, and Star Trek character: Patrick Stewart/Picard, is my prized possesion, for the simple fact, that I met him - all be it briefly - but i met him, and got him to sign it. One of the happiest moments of my life, so far

I am already far too jealous. Seems that everyone so far has posted something really interesting. You must have invested a lot of money into all of that stuff Wixi.
I hope to work my way towards a collection like that, it'll take me a while though!

It did take a while to gather but the Christies Auction of 2006 opened up the secondary market for people like myself to get an original piece or two from the Star Trek Universe.
On a side note Dentari - do you collect the trading cards or is it just a selection you have.

Those three cards are the beginning of my collection. I'm planning on collecting the Quotable cards along with the Complete Deep Space Nine series. Needless to say, I have a long way to go!
