Prince - Noram The Head of State as well as Chief Executive of Hesperia, the powers of the monarch have slowly changed over time. In early days, the Prince was the seat of all authority and power in Hesperia, though in the modern era, the National Assembly has taken over the duty of legislating, while the monarch maintains executive and judicial power.

Minister for Foreign Policy – Dame Francine Montaigne Most senior member of the government. Responsible for communicating with other members of the international community, as well as advising the Prince in matters of diplomacy.
Minister for Defense – High Admiral Josiah Winton Senior government official responsible for running Hesperia’s military. Traditionally the serving Chief of Naval Operations is appointed Minister for Defense.
Minister for Health and Education – Doctor Elliot Chou Senior government official responsible for overseeing Hesperia’s Education and Medical systems.
Minister for Labor and National Infrastructure – Sir Jeremiah Spencer Senior government official responsible for Hesperia’s various civic projects, such as roads and ports, as well as dealing with worker’s issues.
Minister for Trade – Bernardus Houseman Senior government official responsible for overseeing regulation of foreign trade. Works closely with Royal Treasurer and Minister for Foreign Policy
Minister for the Interior – Estelle Alquezar Senior government official responsible overseeing the responsible use of Hesperia’s internal resources, as well as the preservation of historical sites and protected natural areas.
Royal Treasurer – Jean Descroix Senior government official responsible for overseeing Hesperia’s financial holdings, as well as regulating internal business and trade.
Minister for Manticoran Affairs – Sir Allen Tremain Senior government official responsible for overseeing the Hesperian province of Manticore.

Seat: Assembly Block Head of Government: First Lord of the Assembly David Cromarty, Baron Cromarty The First Lord of the Assembly is the chief legislator of the Principality of Hesperia, and is leader of the majority party in the National Assembly. While his or her majority is based on numbers in both houses, the First Lord must, by law, be a sitting member of the Assembly of Peers. The First Lord and Assembly are responsible for tending to the internal affairs of Hesperia and Manticore.

Historical Background
Hesperia traces its origins back to early 2012, when settlers from the inner regions of Utopia arrived on the small island. Though the area was initially believed to be of little value due to its distance from the other nations of Utopia, those early settlers began work to turn the cold, snowy island into a place they could call home.
Hesperia continued to struggle, until the discovery of an ancient mine beneath the island gave the island the stable financial footing it needed. This mine would turn out to be but the first of a number of ancient structures uncovered on the island, presumably built by a long vanished ancient civilization.
With the rich mines providing Hesperia with a source of wealth, Hesperia began its expansion, beginning with its navy. As an island nation, Hesperia had always had a strong nautical tradition, and the primacy of the nation’s navy over other branches of the military reflects that. However, it was soon found that building ships off the coast of Hesperia with little infrastructure was inefficient, and, unwilling to compromise its traditional appearance, Hesperia looked further north.
The dedicated naval base and shipyard at Manticore was Hesperia’s first venture beyond the home island, and though few realized it at the time, It’s first step into the modern era. Now, the Manticoran Urbanization Project, led by Prince Noram himself, aims to turn Manticore into a modern urban center, his ‘Jewel of the North’ as he’d later describe it to the press.
This contrast between the strong pull of tradition and the drive to better itself and stand among the great nations of Utopia is, in many ways the defining feature of the Hesperian national identity.
In 2015, after a long period of dissatisfaction, Hesperia withdrew it's membership in the Imperial Commonwealth, and joined the Confederacy of Sovereign Utopian Nations, whose ideals and values more closely aligned with those of Hesperia.

We have just recieved word of a violent explosion occurring at Joint Research Facility Epsilon. The cause of the explosion is currently unknown, but we have recieved word that one of the Co-Directors of the facility will be delivering a statement soon. The Hesperia Broadcasting Network would like to extend it's sympathy and support to the researchers of Facility Epsilon, as well as their families in this time of unrest.
Terrible news indeed. I have full confidence that the nation of Hesperia will lead a proper investigation into what might of caused an explosion such as this in our joint facility.
I would also like to extend my deepest condolences to the family's of those killed, it is a situation by which I was astounded. The fact that this has happened with Utopia is a most distrubing thing, brings me back to the days of Three Cactus terrorism. Libran is willing to assist Hesperia if the need is required.
The Sovereign Nation of Prandium would like to offer our deepest condolences to all those affected by this unspeakable tragedy. Needless to say, we will dedicate all our available resources to helping those in need, as well as finding and punishing the cowardly ruffians who orchestrated this attack.

At a press conference earlier today Minister for Manticoran Affairs Sir Allen Tremain, announced that a dedication ceremony would be held for Hesperia's new Centre for Foreign Relations on Saturday afternoon. Situated in the middle of Manticore City, the new embassy building is one of the most distinctive sights in the Manticoran skyline. Sir Allen went on to say that this ceremony would also mark the completion of the first phase of Prince Noram's ambitious Manticore Urbanization Initiative, which has already transformed the once spartan military complex into a sprawling urban centre.

Excerpt: During yesterday's dedication ceremony for the Hesperian Centre for Foreign Relations, a large explosion detonated, killing dozens of attendees, including the Minister for Manticoran Affairs, Sir Allen Tremain. Victims were rushed to the nearby Manticore General Hospital. Several hours later, a message was delivered to both the Hesperian government from an organization calling itself the Alliance for a Free Manticore, claiming responsibility for the attack and promising to 'continue to resist the oppression of the Manticoran people by the imperialist Hesperian state and tyrannical Prince Noram.'
In the intervening hours, Prince Noram issued a statement, promising to both secure Manticore and bring the murderers of Sir Allen Tremain and 26 Hesperian citizens. The Hesperian government has since declared martial law in Manticore and mobilized the 12th armor division and components of the Hesperian 3rd fleet to impose a blockade and enforce a curfew on the city.
