Kularis Official: HIMS Rawrtica Incident Report

After scanning the southern ocean for the site of the shipwreck, the investigation team initial report has revealed some strange anomalies.

The first one being that the name of the vessel found, doesn't match that of the official report provided by Rawtony.
At first the team thought it was a different vessel, however no other shipwrecks were found.
This leads us to believe that the so called "HIMS Rawtica" is in fact the "R.M.Y Rawtony".
It would also be prudent to note that the wreck was far closer to the boarder of Thoricus, than with Liberty Island.

The second anomaly is the size of the vessel, it is far too small to hold 300+ people.
And all the lifeboats are completely secured, making any survivors questionable.

The third anomaly and the most important, after an extensive inspection of the hull, no hull breaches or weapon damage are present.
This means the ship was not attacked, and was most likely scuttled.


With all this evidence in hand, the Nation of Kularis can surmise that either Imperial Rawtony knowingly falsified information regarding this incident. Or there is someone else who trying to drive a wedge further between the nations of Turkonia and Rawtony.

Central Utopia Ministry of Defence, in association with the Utopian Council Administrative Bureau, has DE-classified an image obtained from Utopia Military Intelligence. It can be seen below.



The red dots in the image show anomalies on one of the phased array radar stations and correspond with the general region as to where this incident was reported.

The size of the red areas represent the amount of disturbance, which may be missile fire from its source or near its target or where it crossed any sound barrier etc. (Because these scans are taken from a device that shares scanning multiple parts of the region, we cannot confirm any origin of weapons fire)

Imperial Rawrtony first and foremost condemns any denial of the incident. There are 319 dead civilians and 319 mourning families throughout Utopia, including the family of Council Member Secretary Cindy O'Hara, who has been induced in a coma and remains in critical condition! Kularis, while still a Common Standard nation, has known ties with Turkonia and as a result, any reports provided must be assumed tampered!

As for the vessel itself and its proximity to Thoricus. The ship is a ferry-class liner designed to carry a large number of people. At maximum it can hold 400 souls. And while I cannot speak on behalf of Thoricus, it has been know for some time that there has been a large Turkonian military build up just south of the region, and all within a few days. I must therefore ask why? The southern sea is primarily a passenger and cargo sailed sea. Turkonia has no reason to be in that region with its military forces.

All that said, I ask that respect be given to those family members in grief. We will always remember your losses!

From all the people in Libran, please extend our sincerest condolences to all those who are affected by this disaster. Libran will offer any assistance necessary to make this matter proceed into the past, and keep Utopia the peaceful place that it has been for quite some time now.

We will for the time being, remain neutral in this encounter until we have had more time to analyse our own data, along with the data submitted around this encounter.

However, this tragedy will hopefully never happen again - the advanced sensors on the Excelsior class will now be tasked with keeping an eye on Utopia, so that incidents like this will be very clearly documented by the Libran Starfleet to give us an accurate picture of any event.
