Star Trek Expanse: Sign-Up Thread

Hey Guys,

I decided that whilst waiting for the forum to go up, I could put the sign-up sheet now and get people to start applying to take part and signing up to be in positions. Normally this would work on a first come first serve basis, but I am going to choose who will be taking particular Senior Officer positions. There is no particular reason behind this really, I just want to make sure the right people are in the right positions. The roles that are open for this sign-up, in order of the rank they will receive, are:

Senior Officers

Executive Officer - Commander - (XO)
Chief Medical Officer - Commander - (CMO)
Chief Science Officer - Lt Commander - (CSO)
Operations Officer - Lt Commander- (OPS)
Chief Tactical Officer - Lieutenant - (CTO)
Chief Engineer - Lieutenant - (CE)
Counselor - Lieutenant JG - (COUNS)
Helm Officer - Ensign - (HELM)

Officers Roles & Mission Specialist

These roles are different from the senior roles and really allow more freedom to the role-player. These roles lead to more freedom when it comes to role-playing because you are free to create sub-plots and pretty much make a life for yourself outside of the role-play. Senior Officers are bogged down with having to move along the role-play whereas these positions really offer you the chance to explore role-playing properly and use your imagination. For example you could of dislocated your shoulder kayaking or gunning for a promotion in the officer reviews and running the night shift on the ship. No member of this role-play wont be left out. Every person will have a part to play in all episodes. As well as this, most of these roles will take part in the away missions most of the time, so there will always be something to do.

Astrometrics Officer - Ensign - (AST)
Transporter Chief - Chief Petty Officer - (TC)
Engineer Officer - Petty Officer - Ensign - (ENG)
Science Officer - Petty Officer - Ensign - (SCI)
Security Officer - Petty Officer - Ensign - (SEC)
Medical Officer - Petty Officer - Ensign - (MED)

In order to sign up to these positions, I would ask that you post in this thread. By stating the name of your character and the first and second preference positions you would like to take. As a reminder of when this will be, I plan on running this on a Sunday from 21:00 UFP Time.Anyone is free to sign up and I would encourage those who responded to the interest thread in the positive to sign up as quick as possible. Though it will not be done at a first come first serve, those who sign up first will be placed in a position quicker.

Very nice to see some instant response already. An initial roster will probably go up when the new forum for the SRP comes up, which will most likely be this weekend. If anyone has any questions then please PM me or poke me on Teamspeak.

In addition, I've added some information about the Officer Roles and Mission Specialists Roles in the initial thread. As someone who has played a none Senior Officer in other SRPs before, I think its important to make sure all people are involved, and this will be no different here. Everyone who attends will have something to do every episode and will be involved in the plot.

I know I am being difficult by not putting a character name but I usually spend some time thinking of characters and the choice of position will influence that.

I'm definitely interested. Other than this upcoming Sunday, I'm free. (I'm going on vacation, and I leave tonight.) I've got it all downloaded and messed with it a bit, but I haven't done any organized roleplay yet.
