Dorn would probably get it with some heavy drafts and a new title, like "Star Trek, The return of the Defiant" where he covers with his small crew (for budget costs plus the defiant is a small ship..) cause during first contact movie when the Borg attacked his ship was adrift, to cover after that mission get repairs, go cover DS9 do missions to the Gamma quadrant and undercover missions into Romulan space etc.


I'd watch that for sure.


I'm pretty sure I saw Johnathan Frakes say somewhere he made a script for Titan but he wanted to produce only, probably do the opener of him just giving the ship to someone else and starting fresh.

I'd probably watch that also.

as long as it's in that same time line ...maybe with some spiner appearances as B4?

The problem with rebooting a series with some of the older actors now is the age, some of them might not be able to look like their younger self as much anymore, some exceptions but to continue the storyline, I think you would need a new cast.

As much as I enjoy Brent Spiner and his acting ability the man himself has said it, he is done. I respect his reasoning for stepping away. sadly as timeless as Data / B4 is, the man himself is mortal.

I could see Michael Dorn's Captain Worf series taking place on the Defiant however the Defiant is permanently attached to DS9. So they would need to come up with a reason to make Worf the Captain and more or less remove the Defiant from the station. Easier said than done i'm sure.

As I said in another post there should be a Star Trek: Titan series. Nemesis set it up perfectly and apparently Jonathan Frakes is all for it. I always wanted to see Captain Riker in action again after he turned down Command following the Borg Incursion of 2366.

CBS needs to do something, JJ Trek can't be it, and obviously the fans are hungry for good Star Trek on the small screen.

In the books it turns out that Noonian Soong (Data's creator) transferred his conciousness to an Soong type android immediately after the TNG episode 'Brothers', Soong's android looked completely real but he also had the ability to alter his appearance. Through a turn of events that I won't go in to even though I have used the spoiler tag Data's conciousness ends up in that body and so far he has not used it to replicate his traditional appearance instead he looks like Noonian Soong unless he is disguising himself as an alter-ego.

The fact that Data now looks human and has a body that can alter it's own appearance (in the books) could be used to explain Brent's ageing if he ever appeared in Star Trek again, it would also mean he wouldn't have to spend as much time in make up.

TNG never ment to kill... Roddenberry wrote it. Then he..passed away. He didn't write or support JJ it was adapted and recreated.

I had forgotten about that episode, it would be a stretch, but it's doable.

I'd actually enjoy it if they made a completely new series, but place it far in the future. I personally thought it was really interesting seeing the time travelers in Voyager (and the Enterprise), especially the ships.
