yeah, that is a good reason i suppose
right reasons for the wrong thing lol
and we will have to look out for the theme of this series, see what clues it gives us for the last episode
season 4 had every bit of the last episode already predetermined practically lol
its amazing how they do it
Milk...the final frontier...these the the voyages of the milk-float....30,000, its 5 year mission to deliver strange new milk's. to seek out new cartons and new varieties....to boldly go where no milkman has gone before....

I for one am really glad that The old production team are gone. This series will hopefully be alot more gritty and closer to Human nature. I hope the 11th Doctor has an angry streak that we all became accustomed to with david tenant.

I agree David Tennant's Doctor had a pretty cool darker element to his character I hope that is still in there somewhere. Talking of themes can't say I am too fond of the new opening music.

yeah, whats with that?
tbh, gotta say I surprised myself by enjoying the first episode.... And although the new doctor is an unknown, he fits the part well. People say he's too busy trying to set himself like the 10th doctor, but tbh... He does that, plus more....

well, he said he wanted to develop his own doctor character, which i suppose theyll let him do
but itll be over the course of the series
the only reason he was like the 10th doctor is because he has only just regenerated
and besides, i love the new intro

every incarnation is the same guy, just a different personality
the difference is he has a new body and has used up another life in his 13 year life cycle (got that from DW TV movie starring 8th doc )
so, they are different
but, lets settle with they are different and itll be a good series

I am guessing they will have found a reason to explain away the Daleks surviving again. I suppose with the Time Lords bringing Gallifrey back at the end of the last season anyone that was stuck in the Time War could have got out.
i think the point is that Daleks are like time traveling tribbles, there is no real way to destroy them permanently because they travel through time and multiply. we know Daleks have time travel technology because of the emergency "temporal sift" seen in daleks in manhattan. That dalek i theorize is actually the dalek seen in the 9th doctors dalek episode.

AND in trial of the timelord. you get to see the doctor's 12th incarnation in that. If you ask me they should have put collin baker on trial for killing it.
i think the Doctor is no longer bound by his 13 regenerations, Its a Timelord law. The master had used up all his regenerations and still continued to regenerate.

wrong! the dalek at the end of Evolution of the Daleks was Dalek Caan, who travelled back into the time war, last 2 episodes of season 4, davros says it when talking to the doctor via that subwave network in the first part (yes, im watching it whilst typing this )
i think the Doctor is no longer bound by his 13 regenerations, Its a Timelord law. The master had used up all his regenerations and still continued to regenerate.
the master was brought back to life by the time lords (says it in sound of drumms on phone to doctor). he made himself human, got back to TL, got shot by the insect and regenerated.
in essence, the Master has lived for the second set of his regenerations, if only 2 of them :/

I hope they bring back The Valeyard, especially since it seems rather unlikely we shall see The Master again any time soon.

Just gonna revive this topic a bit, and I want to clear some things up.
Moffet, like all of us was sick of using daleks like cockroaches (they just wont die) this latest dalek episode was meant to be the birth of a new Dalek empire, and its them that will keep coming back (its not like OMG YET ANOTHER SURVIVOR).
The doctor can only regenerate 12 times (so thats 13 lives). Its more than law its biology (natural or not is unknown).
They Valeyard was not the doctors 12th in carnation he was the physical manifestation of the Doctors evil side made sometime between his 12th and 13th incarnations (how that works i'm not sure).
As for him being similar to Doc10, well this is the beginning of the series, and as the doctor always says "he doesn't even know who he is". So any acting will of course be inspired by the previous actor, but Doc11 will become his own man soon enough.
The production team may be new, but they are still mostly still the same people as before they are just now leaders rather than followers. Moffet in my opinion wrote all the best episodes for Doc10 (Blink, Forest of the Dead etc), yet has till proved (imho) themselves to be up to the job, and even seem better than the old team.
We're up to episode 4 now (ep5 this sat) and I have to say I am loving it. Amy Pond it great (and very shagalicious :p) and Doc11 is fantastic. He has already become my favourite doctor. I think the writing for Doctor Who has never been better in its entire history. I wasnt sure about him at first, all the TARDIS, or the Sonic, but its only ep4 and i have already change my opinion about everything, I am every impressed.
As for the cracks, they may not be as subtle, but I think thats a good thing, we still dont have any idea what is going on, but its in the front of our minds. Adds much more interest and mystery I think. Also apparently the cracks are only one of five things we have to keep looking out for, and I havent noticed anything else yet, so maybe its still got plenty of subtleties in it. Unless Pandorica and the missing memories are two other things.

The Master has managed to get around this issue though. He has previously taken possession of another body in order to remain alive and was given an additional set of regenerations by the Time Lords. He also mentions in the sound of drums that the Time Lords resurrected him to fight in the Time War. This is a good thing as it means they don't have to stop doing Doctor Who.

Most definately true. There were some great lines at the end of the last episode.
The Doctor "The most important thing is I get you sorted out"
Amy "Thats what I've been trying to tell you"

If The Valeyard ever re-appears his origin could still be slightly different. In the original scripts for the trial episodes it was revealed that The Doctor didn't want to finally die and as a result became The Valeyard. At the time though there was a big dispute between the writers they couldn't use some of the content from the scripts. The only reference to his origin I think was when The Master says he is a manifestation of his evil side from between his last regenerations but that strikes me as one of those 'Obi-Wan-ish' statements "what I said was true... from a certain point of view" so I would say for now all bets are off especially with the number of changes that have occured to the timeline since then. I do hope he comes back and they have a proper backstory for him, guess we will have to wait and see.
