A question that I think others may ask, is how are your Reputation levels? Due to some of the good gear for upgrades may come from various reputations.

Also, what is the mission parameters of your lovely science ship? STFs, I imagine? If so, I know the ESF folks will have some stellar advice to provide.

They are getting there they are all currently level one. I only have played sto for about a month so I am still new at it. I've been doing a lot of the space battle zones against undine been having fun with that. I'd be interested in trying STFs never really have done many of them.

I know that we have some "Intro to STF" events as well, so you may want to keep an eye for that in our Events tab. In fact, there is one next Wednesday.

Participating in our UFP hosted "STF Wednesday" or "STF Sunday" will certainly garner you a lot of Omega marks in a very fun/painless manner. Our Elite Strike Force division lead and teach teams of UFP community members through these, teaching, and advising.

The other Reputations, are best done in groups. I know there are UFP members out there who work on them daily. Thus giving a shout-out in UFP-UFPK game and Teamspeak will garner a teammate or two.

The Vesta is a great science ship, arguably one of the best in the game right now. However it is a high-risk, high-reward ship in that it sacrifices quite a bit of durability to give you access to more skills and abilities. After a quick review of your configuration, I'd make the following suggestions:

Weapons:
Swap out the transphasic for anything else, these are the worst performing torpedoes in game.
Consider picking up a Kinetic Cutting Beam from Borg Rep once you are able, mounted on an aft slot.

Deflector: Need more info about your preferred play style before making a recommendation here.

Warp Core: Consider picking up the Dyson Warp Core awarded from the Featured Episode. This is the best AUX core in the game and it easily obtained and useful until you can afford a Fleet Warp Core.

Shields: Need more info about your preferred play style before making a recommendation here.

Consoles: Consider swapping the field emitter for an Embassy version to gain a plasma proc on all your weapons. Swap out a particle gen for a Plasmonic Leech when you can afford it, and swap another particle gen out for a flow cap to significantly boost power levels. Swap out your energy manifold for another induction coil. The EPS flow regulator doesn't have much use these days, consider an armor mod or another useful universal console like the borg console or plasmonic leech here.

Skills: You can get a free tractor beam by equipping the Borg 3 piece set if you'd like to use another power there. Science team isn't too helpful in PvE and could be used for something else there. I'd recommend at least once copy of Hazard Emitters for STFs to clear shield neutralizers and plasma fires.

I've been playing support I guess, been using gravity wells a lot it gets everything all clumped up so escorts can do in with their cannons and torpedoes. For the warp core you are talking about the dyson stabilized core right?

A Step Between stars only Gives the Solanae Deflector, impulse and shield array i don't see the Warp core there

Being that Vesta is my life .....I would agree with the other members comments there is room to improve, I would have to say get all three so you can have the bonus. Now Going full Sci on her is not a bad thing will make you more support than anything else. But you could go for the same as me use the Multi-Mission
Strategic and then just use the vesta skin. This seems to be a good balance of Tactical and Science making you more deadly.

When you say "support", are you talking about control or healing? In PvE there's not much use for dedicated healers, but control abilities (properly used) can make a difference (especially in something like No Win Scenario).

Dang, it looks like this reward was restricted to the initial FE launch and the 4 year anniversary event. In that case, the playing field is wide open for a warp core of your choice!
