Hello all, my name is Cailean_556.
You can call me Cailean, or some like to change it up and refer to me as Cali. I must admit it is alot easier to type...
A bit about me: I'm an Aussie, I've played STO on and off since 2010 when it arrived in Australia. Can't remember the month... My work scehdule can, at times, be demanding so I sometimes have long pauses between shifts in the centre chair. I'm a big fan of sci fi, notably Star Trek, Star Wars and my life wouldn't be complete without Stargate or Babylon 5 - if only they could make decent games and/or not go bankrupt. I also help out a little with the STA3 mod for Sins of a Solar Empire. I know at least some of you know what STA3 is and what's coming next.
While in STO I'm not normally a fan of STFs, my ship - the USS Cailean isn't quite where I'd like her to be outfitted but a couple more test runs and some time in drydock should fix that. If I have a group of mates with me or at least one person who knows what they're doing I tend to enjoy it...especially now that they've all changed and I'm going to look ridiculous when I'm incapacitated regularly. 
My characters are a little more fleshed out than most as I like to make semi-believable backstories for them. Even some of my bridge officers have stories that link them to me in some way.
I tend to semi-roleplay at times, but I've not gone full RP. At least not in STO. Tried it in WoW once...kinda hard to stay in character when everyone's all "LOLZ, I IZ UBER HARDKOR, ROFL NOOB PWNZ"... 
When did society fall on its head? They say there's a time and place for everything... I may have found an exception. Among friends my humour takes on a somewhat darker and crude side but never fear, unless you're used to me I shall keep our dealing strictly PG... At least by Australian terms, and in compliance with the Rules and Regulations.
