    Greetings Warriors of the Empire! Qua'pla! I need help with my Gorn Tac captain. I am trying to play more KDF content and I'd like to make a DHC (Dual Heavy Cannon) Build for my Bortas/Bortasque Tac ship. (I don't have the Bortasque yet). I know DHC is rough to play but I'd like to at least try it. I've heard Cannons and Turrets are a good way to go too. I just would like to avoid another 8 beam boat. My Fed Eng Captain flies the Odyssey Tac with 7 beams (6 arrays and a Borg Cutter) plus a Torp and while it works I'd like something more.... Klingon. And Klingons use cannons.

    So Help me if you can. Smile Gear, BOff powers, and even DOffs. I got no rep with anyone so stick to Basic stuff I can get either on the Exchange or from drops. I plan to run STFs mostly. Thanks!

    Personally I've never considered cannons on the Bortasqu' based on it's slow turn rate, if you want a cruiser on KDF to support DHCs, I'd suggest the Fleet Mogh which has 5 fore weapons, making it fit this role better. They are both going to need to turn rate buffs, consoles which can boost them to make them viable for cannons, of which there are many options.

    But it's certainly something to experiment with Cool

    Same here, I started with a cannons build but even with turn boost the thing was too slow for my tastes. Now it's a beam death boat and is much more effective with my play style.

    I have done all cannon build on a negh before. Although it was pretty cool to see those cannons and turrets in action, the dps was abysmal. I've also done a BSG vo'quv, which looks awesome with CSV, but it not meant for serious team support.
