I know there is already a thread about this somewhere but I couldn't find it so I thought it was better to not necro it. Anyway I heard about Star Trek Axanar a while ago on here and at the time they didnt have much but I was still interested. Today, just by chance I found the 20min prelude to it, and....and.... the only words I could find to describe it violate the forum rules. I was expecting good, but WOW this looks on par, if not better, than the JJ movies! Actors we know and love, amazing effects, and it looks like the story is gonna be pretty solid even though its not Treky enough. The Prelude was amazing, I cant wait for the full movie!

It is indeed well made! When I saw Prelude to Axanar's Kickstarter and the people behind and what they could do, I felt this was the future of Prime Universe films and such... all in the hands of fans!

I want this to be a success so much! Having watched Prelude to Axanar I couldn't help but make a pledge and support this project. The quality of the production far exceeded what I expected and I'm now really excited for the full feature length film.
I enjoyed it so much that I now have the Ares on my new signature. Such a brilliant ship design.

It looks amazing. The effects blew me away, and the acting was spot on. Can't wait. It's such a great concept too.
I wonder what the tipping point will be before it finally gets picked up for a new series.
