The Battleship Yamato is currently the flagship of the Lantean Navy was designed and constructed by the people of Taranis by means of there own defence budget, she is a beacon of hope in these dark and trying times the ships stands a monument honouring the men and woman of the battleship Missouri.

Construction/History

After the CSUN Massacre or Missouri incident both peoples of this great nation decided on a new class of ship one more powerful than anything currently in the Lantean naval arsenal a ship that out shines the Iowa class in speed,size and fire power. Yamato was set down on November 27th 2014 and Completed December 1st 2014, the ship cost was that of 250 Million Dollars with 48 hours of industrial fabricators running over time. Project Black Knight is the last and final ship development program that will deal with battleships the company CEO made comment on this day " This is a combat vessel not a luxury liner", one of the key areas of design was the ships hanger bay and raise-able deck thus allowing a detachment of combat aircraft's.

Main systems

The Yamato has a state of the art bridge located around the middle section of the main tower it contains the helm,sensors,communications and the command systems most notable the ships defences.

At the top of the tower there is a Mk 7 Sensor dome redone from that of Starship Concordia thus allowing the ship to detect incoming objects for example ships,missiles and aircraft at a range of Classified.

Down from the sensor dome holds the captains personal living area from here he or she is tied into all ships functions in theory he or she could run the ship from there own bed.

Bottom of the tower holds the mission ops and data processing centre a dedicated area for ongoing missions were tactical information can be sent while the bridge crew focus on the ship itself.

Propulsion

The Tidal wave engine first and foremost the main engine converts a small area of vacuum into Tachyon energy allowing Yamato to "ride" the waves of Tachyons thus achieving a large amount of speed but only in a straight line.

The four propeller screws act as the ships manoeuvring engines for turning and the ability to be used for normal ship running speeds.

A side project that was started a long time ago so decided to make something of it, For those that know me am very big into using youtube for the help needed when it comes to ship making not just because I have no idea where to start but I like close as I can get to replicas.

The two builds in the pic below was all "me" no youtube help what so ever trust me you will not find these anywhere online something am proud to say I designed and built or half built since the ship is not done yet.

When reflecting on it I think its lots of ship designs stuck into one for what I have recreated in the past from youtube.

The crane was a little side task I made last night because I thought it would look sweet next to a ship being built.

Before the new year starts and our nation celebrates this wonderful time I would like to take a few moments and make a few statements.


As leader of this great nation the blame of expanding territory solely rests with me! in my defence it was for good reasons words like military growth or empire like did not factor into this we simply wanted to help the Leader know as Solace, the reaction we got back from that made be change my mind if you can recall from a press realise a few weeks back.

Military expansion will stop now it was not really an expansion in the first place more so at a steady pace to keep up with other nations I would also like to take note that this will happen now but there are three battleships already in the works that we simply would not like to place on a back burner these projects have cost us between two and three billion dollars, perhaps they could be stopped for a period of time but the over all goal down the line will be to have them built same goes for the USS George Washington and Gerald R Ford both of those have been set out and yet again billions of dollars in construction fees.

As was said later on today the Energy cannons have been returned to President of Caprica this was a decision that had to be made for the sake of not just us but the whole of Utopia.

I believe that was what was asked for by the CSUN people for a prerequisite to a cease fire, we would like to add that a cease fire to start with then down the line a treaty be set out.

I would also like to add that this nation will never again join the CSUN Alliance or forces that is not to say we are not open to friendship and trade, we just feel that this course of action will suit all sides in the long run.

As speaker of the house I would like to take some time to list a few announcements and future plans. First up President Adama has been removed from office this was done so by majority vote between the cabinet members following recent evidence of drug trafficking & Technology theft while you might be wondering well why is the Veep not making this news posting welll this is due to the VP being killed in jumper accident.

In the weeks to come presidential elections will open up to the public to vote for the next President the runner up will be appointed as VP at this time three candidates are available for the vote.

• Secretary of Defence Henry Wallace
• Black Knight Enterprises CEO Camila Sanchez

Secretary Raydor recently appointed to the role graduates top of her class in international relations and national economics.

Secretary Wallace being a formal Major General makes him a tough nut to crack we have been told by leaked info that he supports the old views of President Adama.

BKE CEO Sanchez while being the boss of a company that constructed the Battleship fleet could make her a possible replacement with skills in finance & business.

The Concordia & Beliskner have been launched into orbit they were joined by the newly built odyssey in a effort to assist with the recent Libran incident where a few of there ships were lost to a unknown enemy we offer our assistance with this issue.

Caprica is pleased to see that the State of Lantea has accepted responsibility for the international drugs crisis and ensuing war. The Lantean-Caprican war could so easily have been avoided, yet with this change in leadership Caprica will be partially withdrawing it's military presence from the immediate vicinity of Lantea.

Evacuation & National Changes

Fellow citizens and Utopia Members today brings a series of changes that we feel are needed for our continued survival and more to the point we must discard the old ways back when President Adama was in power that saw our nation at war.

Effective Immediately the City of Azura is to be evacuated all citizens will be contacted soon for preparations on resettlement. The Government has decided to relocate to Taranis where the seeds of our people first walked on this world.

Taranis is deep underground located on a small Island there for it can be better protected. At this moment the base has a civil count of 750 so adding a few thousand that we have right now is going to take work.

A few pre exciting structures will be coming with us to our new home from the command tower to the Apartments but in the long run most of us will be sub terrain.

Military assists are something we need to think about the type 26s are already set for scrap but this move has limited space so we are going to have to think what has higher priority. Submarines can remain they can be deployed at ease along with our only carrier as for the Destroyers we do run into issues the long term plan will to have these units deployed as well or reduced to fit available docking space.

At one point in our history the conquest of land and sea was foremost on our minds. I think over the months we have lost interest in this due to the finial frontier being more of a scientific interest for our people we have seen our ship limit go from two right up to five in such a short and steady time frame.

Lastly picking of a new leader has come to a close the Presidential line will end with Adama temporarily until tensions die down and our people settle in for a while with that said the new leader has been elected with title of "Chancellor" Sharon Raydor.

It has been some time since we last announced changes to the nations.......last time it was an evacuation of the mainland to the colony of Taranis that saw our mainland empty of our citizens. We are happy to say this was for your benefit while we have been in our temporary home wide scale construction has been going on not just back home but in orbit.

Old town is being demolished and our old city is no more we now have a 50% completed new one for our people to move into in the weeks ahead. I look forward to the day we are whole again with busy streets and children laughing a sound that has not been heard for a long time under the old presidential rule.

We currently have and soon to have more of are things like residential areas,offices,food replication facility's,R&D labs ect. One of the noticeable changes is that the navy now has its own port something only dreamed about by the Admiralty with this move we saw fit to have every ship under one roof so to speak am pleased to say this has worked out perfectly.

The United States Space Command has seen a few changes over the last few months we have gone from four Interstellar ships to six with the seventh under construction soon to be the our flagship the Nautilus we look forward to her being completed in the months to come.

We in our last statement appointed Sharon Raydor as Chancellor and she has guided our nation into what it is becoming now something we could not accomplish in the past.
