With the city changes almost complete the Department of Defense has raised the question of the outdated Enterprise class aircraft carrier. The design its self is almost 50 years out of date at least that is the information we have when she was given to us by a long gone civilization.

The USS Ronald Reagan has a sister ship being used by Turkonia so this dual of services was always a complicated fact !. So it is for that reason of age and other uses that the DOD has submitted its request to the Department of the Treasury for funding of new class with all R&D aspects that may follow.

Gerald R Ford Task Force

In a previous address the DOD applied for funding in regards to a new aircraft carrier we are happy to now say she is complete may we present the Gerald R Ford Class Aircraft carrier.

As you can see from the below images she is very different from the old Enterprise class .

With a complete redesigned hull and flight deck she weighs just over 100,000 tons with a length of 337 Meters. The new hull design is one of the key parts from past designs inspired from the current Arleigh Burke that has stealth in mind. With 25 Decks housing a crew and her officers is not an issue around 4,000 men and woman are located on this sailing city.

Aircrafts from F-22s to Cosmo Tigers number in the range of 75+ at last count the older design was 60+ so this is a design fact we are proud of. The USS Gerald R Ford was lunched to day and is located south of our nation on the other side of the planet she was joined by the USS Laboon,USS Yashi and the USS Cancarus to form the first Lantean Naval task force with this new group of ships we will be providing Utopia with naval aid to any nation and our own missions what ever they maybe.

Moving on from the navy comes our space fleet and as you know we have quite a few ships up there now!....From Battle cruisers to Frigates plus a capital ship once she is complete no ETA on that yet its a very big ship.

So lets recap we have ships that give of a military vibe!....Loaded to the teeth with Plasma Cannons,Beams & Rail Guns not the sort of vessel that inspires worlds these days. It was decided we needed something that shows a friendly hand and not claws the added issue was exploration our current fleet are all Warships and so we looked into the ideas and schematics that were flowing about that people had come to us in the past with.

First it was bigger is better! That might be the case for all the people and Tech loaded on our current class of ships. Next it was supper tinny why build a ship when we can use the stargates ? suppose the reply is where is the fun in that cant explore space that way. Lastly was Exploration Cruisers not small but not big a perfect balance of no more than 350 Meters the end result I am happy to finally say "A Starship".

With these new ships we can explore all the undiscovered worlds meet new life forms and boldly go where no one has gone before! with out all the guns.

On this early morning black SUVs have been seen hurtling down Sunrise boulevard sources have reveled that every cabinet secretary and policy lawyers were in these motorcades heading to Sanora Plaza where by we are being told an emergency session of congress will be in session in the next half hour, President Raydor is due to arrive in the next few moments.


At this time we can only speculate as to what this mornings topic will be about I think its a safe bet to say this will revolve around Caprica.

We are being told military personal are arriving at Battleship Row and that supplies are being offloaded to various ships. Right now all I can see are ships being restored and command officers no sign of any crews yet so this could just be a training run.

Since the multiple broadcasts from Caprica in the days past the Officials of this nation have worked and debated in congress on the current situation and issues that may follow an aggressive nation.


At this time the Lantean Prime Directive has stopped us from interfering on her internal matters of state! With a vote of 6 to 5 in favor of amending the Directive that was not vetoed by President Raydor, we are not in support of the current actions taken by this Rogue General Dentari not only did this man throw away diplomacy and the ability to be elected into office by democratic means he shot his way through the door!. To add a cherry to the cake you felt the need to harm or kill civilians, so if your own people don't plot to kill you am sure others will.


So back to the matter of the amendment due to this situation not so much interfering with our lives on a large scale we look to the future of what might be down the line? What happens when your done cleaning your own house.....Will you expand and rage war on other lands.

These are questions that where asked in congress and our own answers we don't like the sound of ! We are selfless in this matter we are thinking long term in a more broad scope of things in regards to the rest of Utopia. The amendment to be added under section one will hence forth be that the directive can be rescinded by a majority vote in times of world wide implications.


At this time we feel no need to commit military assets to the area as we are sure CSUN can control this in there own way.

Military Reform & National Budget

In the long months since past government officials and subcommittees have been in discussion over state matters one such topic we will cover today is the military budget for the coming year.

Last year in the run up to Christmas the annual Military spending for all forces was in the sum $320.000.000.000 not including the two years of R&D spending and personal costs. The President last month ordered spending to be cut over the next two years.

So after final deliberation the Navy will be reshaped this will involve a large number of ships being recycled of course with ships being decommissioned a large number of Naval personal will be effected we want to say that you will be reassigned to other posts or other Force Divisions.

The United States Space Command will also see changes like this with the loss of five ships in favor of the more larger and standardized that we have already the Aurora class and Beliskners.

Armed Forces will see Temporary Assignments only for a short while as the fleet yards produce the next line of ships three ship designs are planed to enter service no later by the end of this coming year. For now we can share a Holo image or two of a Home Built Design combining all our experience over the years.





The above design we have named the Global Combat Cruiser is more cost effective not only on hardware and parts but being able to train personal on just one ship system compared to 20 makes more sense in the long run.

The first is yet to be built from the drawing board but we are hopeful this is start , coming in at around 280 Meters she is the largest Cruiser to our nation. Global was the keyword here as this ship class was designed to travel the seas with no need to return for fuel somewhat like the battleships with energy power over that of a gas or steam.

Now with a world war going on this would alarm a few people not the best time for Armed Forces make overs but we are Hopeful that our silence these past few months and the lack of actions on our part keeps us out of the war.

Continuing Naval Standardization Part 1

Naval Designs continue to be put into testing, with the holodecks running over time these past 2 weeks and more to come.
A few designs have been looked at with the continued issue being Turret placement & Missile placement past designs seen us have the Missiles aft this increased over all length to the point of lower ship speed so by moving the Missiles forward behind the Turrets we were able to cut down on size and include a larger flight deck.

One such Design is the Aoba Class Cruiser she is the first of her kind and has been replicated into the Lantean Navy, we shall be entering more of this class into service as she did meet a lot of the above points of design. Armed with three Turrets holding twin Next Generation energy cannons with slim lined design, a weapon we are most proud of and of course the ship her self being as she is the first to enter service that was home designed. Sea tests reported speeds of over 35 knots...faster than the Arleigh Burke class. Defensive systems have seen a large upgrade not in number but by technology advancement the design includes 6 Point Defense Energy Turrets port and starboard the only other ship to have this is the Yamato another ship that needs an overhaul from an age since past but that's another story for another time.

The Halsey is still in the design stage a few issues popped up when adding the weight of an aircraft in simulations the ships aft section dipped below safely limits a issue our teams are working on.

Continuing Naval Standardization Part 2

Continuing again with the designs that are entering service to replace outdated models, joining our Nation today are two new Classes fresh from the drawing board.

Fast Battleship Ashinoko and Multi Operations Submarine Nevada that can be seen a little later on in this brief.

Firepower a issue and question that floats around from nation to nation is it never enough, Yes and No are both acceptable. The Ashinoko while not armed with traditional Plasma Canons like the Yamato, we decided that Fast Battleship or Pocket Battleship was a Goal to reach here and so she was given the new slim lined Energy Guns like the Aoba only this time Four Turrets of Three Barrels with a wide selection of Secondary Armaments from Missiles to side Mounted Turrets, thus cutting down on weight and allowing the class to travel through the water faster.

The Nevada is combination of both a Missile Boat & Attack Submarine Larger than a Seawolf but smaller than a Ohio it strikes a perfect balance of Speed ,Maneuverability and Firepower.

Both Classes are again Home Built we are extremely pleased and proud of our advancement over these past few weeks.

Oh the Halsey got Canned the issue of the aircraft adding to the weight and the ship almost sinking in simulations we could not fix the issue so the Ashinoko was designed to take its place.

An Official Caprican Communiqué

At 1422 local time, the Caprican aircraft carrier LAC-02 Cellaris departed Lantean waters. Having been permanently stationed off the Lantean coast for over one year now, the Caprican Naval Service, in conjunction with the Caprican government , have decided to withdraw all forces from the region. The LAC class aircraft carriers are to be decommissioned due to aging technology and budgetary requirements following the Caprican Civil War.

The Caprican blockade of Lantea has officially ended, and the coastal minefield has finally been brought down. Due to Lantea's willingness to commit to large scale military reform, post-Lantean War tension has declined to the point that the republic is willing to normalise relations. It is hoped that over the next few months a framework for future trade agreements can be discussed between our two nations.

Military Reform Part 2

Quick Statement shall be given on the subject of Space Exploration, we are refining our original press statement with a few changes. Our "X" Class Vessels are to remain in full service but plans to remove the 5 Starship Classes are moving Forward.

The "X" Class is a proven design that at this stage we feel we can not afford to loss or until such time as something else can replace the class of ship. The Plan was to complete 3 or 4 more of the Aurora Class Warships but this is providing to be an issue.
