[Medicius]

Hello,

Just thought I'd drop a quick line before I start perusing the forums for fun and new topics to join.

My online handle is Medicius. I've used this handle for almost a decade and it was chosen based on my love of playing Healer characters in online games. While searching for character names related to healers, doctors, or other healthcare professionals since the start of time, I ran across "Medicus" and not wanting to chance running into other players with the same idea (think two ladies with the same dress at prom...), added an "i" after the "c". Flipped around, the name is sometimes used to portray offense-only characters.

In terms of STO, I originally started nearer to 2010. I swear I remember all of the ships in-game being the same size and there being a multitude of lag issues when doing ground missions. I didn't play for long as the guy I joined with ended up quitting and moving onto another game. A few years later I picked up the game again and spent time enjoying the new content and ships. Once I pushed my Romulan to 50, and started a few other characters I took a break. Fast forward to now. I'm once again enjoying the updated content and looking forward to playing not just for my own enjoyment this time, but with other like-minded individuals working toward some shared and common goals.

So, I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. Feel free to look me up if you want to group. I'm still trying to re-learn STO as I feel like a total noob all over again... So it'll be a little bit of time before I can actually help

Outside of STO, I enjoy the following activities:
- Mountain Biking (recently purchased my first Fat Bike and have been riding local trails here in Minnesota)
- 3 Gun Competition (I own a few firearms and enjoy hitting the range with some friends and my children)
- Reading (I read....a lot)
- Movies, TV, Videos (read: GoPro Hero 3+ recording and content editing for personal enjoyment)
- And pretty much anything else my kids enjoy so that I can spend time with them.

Greetings, I can't actually say I have seen the name Medicius used a lot on my travels around STO, most of the common names seem to variations of characters seen on screen. My own name was influenced by Seven of Nine, I played a Liberated Borg from the start

Welcome to the UFP. Good to see a fellow medic (I wish it were something that were actually useful to do in STO). So who did your Romulan join up with (if you say the Federation, you're doing it wrong)?

I don't do mountain biking, mostly hiking, camping, etc. What exactly is a fat bike?
