This news mainly falls under Minecraft as that is the game most known from Mojang, but it looks like Microsoft are interested in the studio as a whole, not the one game. This would give them the rights to the whole of Mojangs library, although it's clear where the biggest revenue stream is from! But what could this mean for the future of Minecraft content producers? While the game might benefit from the money from a big company, what will the players feel?

It certainly sounds interesting and that is a lot of money, perhaps they will get involved in other projects with Microsoft games.

it could be a good idea. Might get them to change their EULA back to what it needs to be. But perhaps it will be a bad move who knows really. I guess all we can do is hope for the best.

They already just colorful blocks for their UI in Windoze 8, so I imagine they'll just retro it up and pixelate them a little bit.
