Greetings everyone!
While I'm not technically new (I joined in Fall 2013, but had to take a 9 month break due to RL issues), I thought it might be nice to introduce myself despite that fact and hopefully I'll stay a little bit longer this time ^^
I'm 29 years old, from the little City of Hildesheim in Germany, earn most of my money teaching yoga classes, meditation and relaxation methods. And since going into too much personal details is not recommended (I assume because this forum is frequented by evil space ninjas ^^), I'll leave it at that and get to the important stuff.
My first contact with Star Trek was TNG (season 3 onwards, which aired 1992 in Germany). I liked the overall positive outlook of TNG and the faszination of friendly exploration of the unknown. Despite that fact it isn't my favorite series, that would be DS9 with voyager closely behind, mostly because TNG largely lacks in overarching storylines and character development.
Since I'm an avid reader I have read a lot of Star Trek novels over the years, recently I especially enjoid the Destiny and Titan novels. Destiny because it finally ended the Borg storyline in an interesting and in my opionion fitting way and the Titan novels because they brought back some of the original ideals of exploration and cooperation between different species.
As far as Star Trek Gaming goes I haven't played any Star Trek Games before STO, which I started during beta, but quit a few months after release due to boredom and the fact that my original guild dissolved. I revised STO last year for a short time, but had to quit again due to rl issues. I returned about two weeks ago and right now am still in the process of assimilating the recent changes, but liking most of them so far.
Well, that should cover most of the important stuff. Looking forward to meet you ingame, on TS and here on the forum of course.

Welcome and thanks for telling us a bit about yourself.
There certainly have been a number of changes to Star Trek Online so there should be plenty of new content for you to explore which will hopefully hold your interest better than at launch. If you need any help with Federation content I would highly recommend speaking to anyone from THIS list and if you need any help with Klingon content I would highly recommend speaking to anyone from THIS list.
