[Teryon]

Hello folks, suppose I should get the introductions going since I've decided and confirmed my sticking around. Teryon here, a name with a long and illustrious history...for me, anyway. Not even sure google would turn it up anymore. I've been with STO since the beta, and have ridden many a wave of changes to the game, drifting away only to come back 'round for another go.

My interest in Star Trek, I lay purely at the feet of my mother, who(as she tells it) watched the first episode of TNG back in 1987 with me bouncing on her knee. Given that she grew up during the original run, I suspect I never had a chance. I've seen them all, TOS straight through to Enterprise and JJ-verse; Ive read almost all the novels, I've read some of the comic books, I even played games such as A Final Unity, and of course Armada 1 and 2.

I spent a number of years in an online trek RP organization, learning the ins and outs of Trek technology to the point I was able(and still can) apply real-world physics and mathematics to even some of the haziest treknobabble; this is in fact the origin of my name, a stealth weapons system I came up with on a dare.

Not even going to go into the REST of my scifi pedigree. Who wants to read all that anyhow?

I love to debate things and typically take nothing personal even if it gets a little heated; I snark a great deal, I'm terrible with names but wonderful with people, and I to this day have no frakking idea what all the acronyms that get thrown around on STO forums mean(is it REALLY that hard to just type out a name of a power\bridge officer\etc?).
