Hi Dr. Jackson! Oh wait ... :emoticon_ShiftyEyes

Well, I do go by Jackson and I am a doctor of the PhD variety. You can call me Doc if you like, although Jackson is sufficient.

I just joined up with two of my former fleet mates/XOs after a long 4 and a half year journey leading a fleet of my own. It began humbly in November of 2009 during the closed beta of STO with 4 friends endeavoring to seek out new life and new civilizations. At our apex we had over 300 active members from Spring 2010 to Summer 2012. Our numbers slowly began to dwindle after that point due to members real life commitments to school, work, military service or general disinterest in the direction of the game itself. After the end of the summer event this year, our fleet numbers became untenable even after repeated recruiting drives. The remainder of our members and fleet council decided recently that dissolution would be the best option to give players more opportunities. Time was given to all members to ensure a smooth transition out, including exhausting the remaining fleet provisions at will and evenly disbursing the remaining 800 million energy credits in the fleet bank.

As for myself, I have 4 level 50 characters that are Federation aligned including one Romulan. I also have 2 Klingon aligned characters, one at level 50 and another at level 23. I've been doing this for quite a long time and while I don't claim to know everything about this game, I am willing and able to put the knowledge I do have to use by helping others within this fleet. I look forward to getting started here at UFP, including pitching in where ever I can to help the fleet continue to grow while fostering a warm and friendly environment.

As for my gaming experience in general, I began way back in the days of the Intel 286, DOS and NES. My first shooters and true introduction to online gaming came in the forms of Quake and Duke Nukem 3D. Since then I have been all over the map, having joined, started, and led several gaming communities/clans since 1998. My first space based MMO was Earth and Beyond, which to this day still has a special place in my gaming life. I played many other MMOs such as Anarchy Online, DAoC, SWG and hybrid shooters like Planetside to name a few. I've played shooters such a the Quake series, Medal of Honor series, Battlefield series, Call of Duty series and Unreal Tournament series through out the years, including many other fine games in between. My first Star Trek game was Bridge Commander, which I still play to this day when I want to kick back and relax. I also do some console gaming, but not much as of late considering I just made the move to the Xbox One (not many games).

As of right now I am playing Battlefield 4, Warframe, Minecraft, Space Engineers, TF2, Garry's Mod, Payday 2, GTA IV for the laughs and Moonbase Alpha for weirdness. I'm open to playing any of those games with anyone else here whenever the mood strikes.

Anyway that went a lot longer than I had planned, but regardless I look forward to playing with everyone and contributing as much as possible!

Greetings Jackson, I'm sure you'll find plenty of what you need around and if it's STO help you require, we have many people who can assist there. When you find your feet in the UFP, maybe look at the Community Positions when you get a chance if getting involved as an officer interests you. We have a division for older games like Bridge Commander, the Starfleet Reserves, so that might also interest you if you want to play with some people

I see that you still play Bridge Commander, there are a number of us here that still play it and our Reserves division still supports the game. We've also got a Minecraft server that you might want to check out, the details can be found in the 'Holodeck' for non-Trek gaming.
