Starfleet Academy - Commanding Officer
CL5 - Tier 6 (Rear Admiral)
Christopher Halsey, the current Starfleet Academy CO, has done a tremendous job over the past year in transforming our 'front of house' experience with new members as they come in. Ranging from successful new member welcome sessions, to increasing the relevance of our member courses, the Academy has been rated as the most popular area of the UFP (UFP Survey 2014).
YOUR job, will be to carry on with the on-going efforts of the department and have influence over the future strategy of membership engagement (given our change to a community). You must demonstrate a set of skills relevant to the role and above all, you must show you have the enthusiasm, so that we're confident you're able to deal with the challenges and triumphs ahead.
JOB DUTIES
- Run the Starfleet Academy department as a whole.
- Lead the Community Strategy on Member Experience/Engagement. (please approach me or Christopher Halsey if you're uncertain of what this means)
- Maintain overall responsibility for all volunteers working in all member experience roles.
- Communicate effectively across the community on key messages/campaigns you're running.
- The successful candidate of this role would report to TBD (A CL6 Member).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- It is required that for this role, you must have passed and completed the Orientation Assessment, Administrative Exam and the Command Exam..
- Given the area in which this role is in, previous CL4 experience is a requirement in this case.
- Given the area in which this role is in, and the fact that it's a CO position, the successful candidate must be available for vocal communication via TeamSpeak.
- Is it a CL5 position? Yes
PLEASE NOTE: If it is a CL5 position, the successful candidate will have to sign the Command Position Agreement before entering the role.

This closes on Friday, so I'd certainly recommend starting to hand those applications in now. Currently got a few in already.
