Greetings!

I have a fun little game/challenge for everyone to try and take part in, if you can justify your decisions, that would be great! Your task it to pick any ship and fill the senior positions (some junior ones too if you feel adventurous!). Also feel free to comment on who other people have chosen, maybe you can convince them to change their mind

Here are some basics to follow.

- The ship class you pick must have appeared on TV/Films/Novels.
- You can't pick any CO/XO for a staffing post (No Picard as your XO!).
- Your crew must have appeared on TV/Film, but they can be from any era.
- You can pick 2 non-canon members (Fellow UFPers, characters from other shows, the books, etc).
- You can add any additional components you wish, just try to stay in the confines of canon.

non canon: jasminder choudury as security cheif, and Melora Pazlar as astrometrics officer (shes canon but just 1 episode and i like her in the books way better)

Chief Engineering Officer - Montgomery Scott; besides being highly intelligent and creative, I always dreamed of saying: "Beam me up Scotty"
Science Officer - T'Pol; logical like Spock but much cuter
Counselor - Deanna Troi; Telepathy and empathy
Conn Oficer - Tom Paris; not a big fan of, but hell of a pilot
Communications Officer - Uhura; smart, expert in xenolingustics and looks great
Ship Taylor - Elim Garak; a man of many talents
Chef - Neelix; not sure about his cooking but nice personality and good for crew morale

Galaxy Class starship out of Utopia Planetia Space Yards, an exemplary ship with a history of arriving in the nick of time during emergencies. Known as the "Booze Cruise' to cadets, it's often cited as a choice assignment, mainly due to the captain's notoriety for festivities and partaking of local culture of wine, women, and song.

CO: The Kains (Duh)
XO: Three of Seven - Because she was fantastic at doing all the paperwork necessary, ensuring I never have to do meetings (which I loathe), and the idea of her struggling to sort out the three ring circus that would be my starship would be epic.
Operations: Chief O'Brian - Because I would go drinking with this guy in a heartbeat: Drinking Irishman who will also play toy soldiers? Win. Plus I'm sure he'd do a great job at the work part to.
Engineering: Geordi - Totally unappreciated character, dude needs his due.
Medical: Dr. Crusher - Sexy doctor and a redhead? I can definitely see myself not dodging those doctor's visits.
Security: Reed from Enterprise - Anyone who has that much fun with explosives would be great at a party.
Science: Jadzia Dax - With this kind of a starship?

Chief Engineer: Montgomery Scott - for the same reasons as Isaac, he's the original miracle worker
Chief Science Officer: Spock - If I need to explain this, you need to watch more Star Trek
Counselor: ThreeOfSeven - just because I think she'd look good in a cat-suit.
Helmsman: Bill - because we need his voice on the bridge.

If we're going dream team this would likely be it.

My preferred ship: Galaxy - Exploration, Intrepid - Discovery, Saber - Tactical

First Officer: Elisa Flores - Ho! Didn't expect this, did you? I actually like Elisa Flores and think she makes a good First Officer. In a way, she gives the opposite dynamic of the original Enterprise. Since I'm for the most part, calm and collected, it would make more sense to have an bombastic personality as my CO.

Second Officer/Operations Manager: Nog (DS9 S1-7) - A lot of people seem to forget, but Nog was a damn good Operations Manager for the DS9/Defiant/Sao Paulo when he finally assumed the role. I could put Data here, but I like to go a little out of my with my choices.

Chief Tactical/Security Officer: Tuvok - Easily the best tactical officer. While Worf is more well known, back in TNG he really not as good. DS9 makes him much better, but TNG is pretty hilariously bad.

Chief Medical Officer: Katherine Pulaski - I'm going to be another one on board with her for the vote. As the Chief Medical Officer, she just fit in the role. So much so, I actually recalled her first before I do Crusher.

Chief Engineer: Scotty - Probably the easiest pick in the bunch. If you want a miracle worker, Scotty's your man.

Chief Science Officer: Seven of Nine - I'm taking Seven over Spock, simply because of the CO/XO and that Spock held the First Officer position on the Enterprise. Since those are the rules, Seven is my choice for Chief Science Officer.

Counselor: The Doctor (EMH MK1) - I would've put Elim, but The Doctor actually holds a rank within Starfleet. Elim does not. He spent a lot more time during his trip on Voyager as a counselor, than a doctor, but in the case something happens, he can still function as one. Besides, I think he liked the counseling part much more than the regular doctor stuff.

Helmsman: Tom Paris - Probably the best pure helmsman of the shows and the most developed. Now before you say Chekov or Data, the first was the head of security, the second was operations lead. Sure they got asked, but they weren't actually designated as helmsman.

Random Member: Three of Seven - I would want Three to be apart of the crew to interact with Seven. Also because Three has pink hair, it would be interesting to see what Seven would have to say about that.

Ship: USS Vigilance NCC-93375 Refit Constitution Class, in the original movies era preferably.

Captain: Nathaniel Lewis

1st officer : Mr. Spock - TOS era, because his emotional breakdowns are so much funnier than the new Spocks are.

Helmsman: Sulu - JJ version, because his sword fighting skills are so much better than original Sulu. Then again, without the occasional "Oh myyy!" I don't know what I'll do so...

2nd shift Helmsman: Other Sulu

Tactical Officer: Worf - Pilot episode version. I'll let him shoot the view screen if he wants, because he'll never live it down and the crew and I will all have fun reminding him of it for years to come.

Chief Medical Officer: TOS Bones. New McCoy is fine but what original Bones can do with an overdose of Cordrazine could get us out of a number of sticky situations provided we can steer him in the right direction.

Chief Engineer: TOS Mr. Scott. No thanks new Scotty, you and your mute short alien...friend?

Chief Science Officer: 7 of 9. An expert on the borg, intelligent, capable, and her looks have NOTHING to do with my decision.

Chief Communications officer: Uhura. JJ Version. Looks have nothing to do with it! She speaks Klingon way better then original Uhura.

Counsellor: Troi: Well who else is gonna be the counsellor. Data?

Chief Security Officer: Data. That's the guy I want fighting all the baddies who manage to infiltrate my ship.

Operations: O'Brian. Because he's O'Brian.

Ship: Intrepid Class There's just something about a ship that can 'adjust' itself to reduce the stress levels during warp flight that intrigues the engineer in me.

Captain: Q [Talk about going where no one has gone before!]

First Officer: Kira Nerys [Because she doesn't take crap from anyone and does whatever is necessary to get the job done.]

Helmsman: Tom Paris [Best pilot in my opinion]

Chief Tactical Officer: Malcolm Reed [If it weren't for him, there wouldn't be an alert system for ships!]

Chief Science Officer: Seven [Borg technology came in handy for Voyager!]

Chief Engineering Officer: B'elanna Torres [Thinking outside the box... When orthodox methods just don't work]

Chief Communications Officer: Hoshi Sato [Designed the UT matrix and can speak 26+ languages.. who needs a computer.. lol]

Counselor: Deanna Troi [Just cuz.. lol]

Chief Ops Officer: Data [Quick and knows his way around computers!]

Chief of Security: T'Pol [Cool-headed 99% of the time.. lol]

Transporter Chief: O'Brien

Chief Medical Officer: The Doctor [Knowledge of nearly every medical procedure across several different species, that's gotta count for something. Not to mention developing a few of his own.]

Moral Officer: Nelix [Best person to hold ship events to boost the crew's spirits!]
